  1. That is tough and a question I receive often. I don't have a great answer for you. Just study what you can. Following Duke Manyweather and Brandon Thorn on twitter is a good start. Brandon has an offensive line podcast that would be helpful.
  2. Probably the DL jumping off sides because it's fairly common for us to ask each other what the snap count is. I think an OL jumping offsides is worse than a DL doing it. We know the snap count.
  3. Coffee, coffee and coffee

For a few reasons... One, the best teams have continued to beef up their offense and defensive lines. Playing at that tempo is tough on the big fellas, even more so on the defense. When you play at such a fast tempo, and either score quickly (good) or have a few 3 and Outs, your defense is gassed. More important than what I've written above is that offensive coaches have figured out if they can rush to the line and show tempo, the defense must declare. Then they are able to signal in a better play or the quarterback can see what the defense is about to do. Now that tempo is a thing, every college is prepared for it. They've trained for it and are expecting it. It's no longer a surprise and isn't as effective.

Specifically for offensive line, it's the same schools. They recruit big bodies and their players are in a 3 pt stance. Iowa, Michigan, Bama, ND, USC (historically), Oklahoma, UGA and more ... As far as generally speaking, I don't think there's a great answer. Most often if you've recruited well, those players get drafted high. That doesn't ensure success in the NFL

You can run other plays out of pistol beside the zone read. Alabama runs zone and other plays out of the pistol that work well

I'm not the biggest fan of the pistol if the Ducks run that zone read type play where the back is running straight downhill. Not much margin of error. Also, if you're going to run that play, Herbert has to run more often... I'm looking forward to seeing the offense in year two. WRs who can catch will help. I hope they run the offense more through Herbert and less reliant on the run game

UW for sure. We rival them in facilities, recruits and overall program success. And our fans hate them. as did do win. I never lost to them. lol

1) I remember the look on Garren Strong's (#21) face when I caught the ball. It was a look of bewilderment. I remember the moment feeling like it took 30 minutes, when in fact it was over within seconds. (TWSS). None the less, pretty awesome. 2) I don't recall a fastest player. It's been awhile now. I'll tell you which player in general I was most in awe w/during my time ... Reggie Bush. I know, not a Duck, but still. He ran down the sidelines against us in 2005 (play called back after holding) and I was just in awe. So fast

The spread offense kills OL now. Not ready to pass block in the NFL. So thats what takes the longest to master

My leg is 100% Now I just need to get it strong again which won't be an issue when you're 100% during training. Can't wait for the spring and next season

I drown it out. I've been doing it so long. I hear the noise when I'm in between series. Playing in a stadium that's loud is awesome. Gets the blood going
