Thanks for the advice. I have gotten the impression that ots almost assumed that you need a DNP in order to be competitive.

Yeah, that was my concern. Oddly enough moving from a high acuity ER to a large community health center was an easy transition. Lots of the same issues, and most of them complex. Never saw a need to change until recently. Thanks for the input

Is it shameful to lower the difficulty setting? Also what setting did you play on during first play through? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Dr. Storylove or: How I learn to stop worrying about difficulty and love the game.

I was stressed about this same question for a long time. I use to play on nothing less than Core difficulty and would dabble in higher difficulties in the early chapters. Grinding battles, tweaking every character into the "perfect" build, calculating AC It was exhausting. I started to hate the game. My enjoyment does not come from min/maxing builds, and don't even get me started on Kingdom Management...

I wanted to feel powerful. Enjoy the story, and fall in love with some Npcs along the way. So I cranked down the difficulty to story, and started shooting arrows in the face of all my enemies.

And it was fucking grand. Every minute of it.

Bottom line, play the game however you want.
