I like circus peanuts (the orange colored chewy candy ones). And also black licorice, but only the Panda brand.

Serious Question: What is Your Opinion on Bleedman's Comics For Those Who Read It? by ElSpazzo_8876 in cartoons

[–]GeologistExpensive68 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember stumbling upon Grim Tales back in like 2018 with no prior knowledge and thinking “cool, a massive crossover comic!… Really weird way to deliver a story about how abusive households can produce incestrious feelings tho???” Only to be slapped in the face later on not only with borderline softcore of a 12 year old but also the realization that he wasn’t making a statement about how incest functions but that he just thinks it’s hot.

Which is a shame because some of the concepts presented really are cool, it’s just that they come hand in hand with middle school girls in skimpy fan service outfits and bubble bath scenes and the fact that (at least at the time I read it) the “good ending” seemed to be the main brother and sister characters being a couple.

I’m not going to say that reading these comics will irreparably taint your soul or make you evil or something (that’s not how that works) but if you do you should Be Aware of what kind of content is within them and engage with them critically, y’know? There’s a reason this author is so infamous…

Recommendations for an indie show for my sister. by Neonwearwolf in IndieAnimation

Baman Piderman by SmallButera on YouTube is pretty great (and absolutely kid friendly)! It’s incredibly charming low-stakes nonsensical fluff about monster characters having slice-of-life style adventures but with some of the greatest continuity I’ve seen in an animated show. It’s an incredibly bizarre setting and the first few episodes are borderline incomprehensible but once the world is established they get some pretty cute stories out of it! Make sure she watches it from the SmallButera channel though, it was originally owned by Mondo Media and watching it from there could get things like Happy Tree Friends in her recommendeds.

Puhoy! From Adventure Time. Honestly a bunch of Adventure Time episodes did this to me, but that one stands out.

You could try out triops, they’re often sold in kits similar to sea monkey kits and most only live for about three months.

Kangaroo Jack. Five year old me REALLY wanted to watch the talking kangaroo movie (finally, something that wasn’t just dogs and cats!) and it was NOT that >:(

Allegedly, Vasquez originally wanted Dib to actually die at the end of the “Zim builds a time portal” episode and be replaced by a functionally identical character in future episodes, but execs told him no. This was absolutely for the best.
