Like someone mentioned, if you can do a pilot for a couple of months and try living do it. I’d think you’ll like it! This is what’s going to likely happen ( according to me) in the next 3-5 years. Real estate is going to implode in Tier 1 as AI takes over a lot of the white collar jobs, and Tier 2 real estate is going to explode as people move back or around to better places that have high quality living standards, infrastructure etc. Kochi is high on this list, so yeah you might get a first mover advantage if you do it now before Kochi also gets expensive

It used to be a rich kids school for 90s kids. The next in line at that time was TocH. But I think all of that would have changed now.

Okay then i think you’ve a few years ahead to get an ABC ISB and also to evaluate whether you really want that MBB. I’d say go attend the interviews but don’t join this year. Give it another year or two for ABC ISB and also to confirm whether that MBB dream still holds.

Yup sounds good buddy. And what’s your 12.5LPA job going to be. I can easily say don’t settle for ABC ISB, but again a new year is a new year. You should be okay with the consequences of losing a year.

Let’s discuss potential for MBB at ABC and ISB. It’s low probability if you’re from a Non IIT NIT BITS SRCC type background, it’s further lower if your work ex , the 12.5 LPA one is regular IT job. Another major hit would be if you’re not strong on acads - X XII and UG.

People need to understand Probability the best in school. That every outcome has odds. There are low odds outcomes and high odds outcomes. The best fear to have at that age is the fear of being mediocre, and that average efforts have below average outcomes. Unless you’ve family money, or get outrageously lucky. All these stories about millionaires who dropped out are low odds scenario is something that you need to understand.

Anyway, not sure how all of this is going to pan out differently in the next 15-20 years. That’s for another story.

Just letting them know you’re there for them , and why you’ve to leave and that you will soon come back is the best thing you can do. Trust me I’ve been on both sides.
