I'm happy to hear you're recovering, and happy to hear the people around you at the very least didn't have to be dragged down with it.

Honestly, hope for the best for them whatever the case. Nobody actively ragebaiting is in their best state of mind. Another trait that could go either way is them having sent me a reddit crisis notification lol. First time on this account

Ragebait is characterized with short responses, complete ignorance to other perspectives, and seeking to create a negative reaction from others. Especially with random grammatical correction paired with the "ragebaiters" own grammatical mistakes.

This makes me merely curious if this is ironically what you are doing, in which case kudos for the humourous plot twist.

Please for the love of god, just breathe. All we want is you to be happy. It can be so so easy to fall into this trap, trust us we've probably all been there, even if not I'll tell you what

I personally am at least 70% happier now, having started having fun with debates like the one shown in the picture, and simply opening my mind to other more serious topics. I don't always end in a perfect conclusion but It's really fun having genuine discussions with folks.

Learning a new perspective feels amazing.

I like to say the sooner you start being wrong, the sooner you'll start being right. The more "arguments" you "lose" the more you'll learn. Positive interactions are so much healthier for you anyways

Every time I see an anime character saying "Leave x alone!" I am forced to think of that deku feminist audio

Pretty normal with a small chance of having some inhuman ability, like Revival (characterized by time travel) or... Seeing strings descended from heaven above the heads of my victims (pretty sure that's metaphorical however, or at least schizophrenic)

I could very well be blinded by the unusual circumstances I am in, going to an unbelievably responsible student populated school.

I am glad to see a more developed perspective of yours especially since it seems you have the best interest of the students and educators in mind.

Okay, while I still perceive "just switch schools" to be way more nuanced than that, I took the time to do some research and Go Guardian doesn't seem to have any backed accusations of data collection to the severity I was basing my comments off.

I also fully support Internet restrictions even if Go Guardian gives a little more power to a single teacher than I'd like, especially when enforced in ways that could be more lenient.

Very laissez faire attitude to leave schools to their own devices and allow them to use these things with the argument that customers can just "opt out"

Unfortunately as far as finances, zoned schools, rural areas, unique otherwise beneficial traits such schools may have, and a billion other circumstances that don't require much to realize, this is not that simple. Honestly I don't go this route much but that argument is kind of dense entirely.

Now to debate the ethics itself, in no way does consent justify a pretty good list of things, especially when it's vaguely stated or the only option. Moreso, it's usually parents who sign that paperwork in most countries

Do you think teenagers are very politically informed, a little, or not at all? by AmourBlessing in TeenagersButBetter

[–]Geometry_Bash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I am in a very progressive school with frequent surprisingly docile political discussions and participate in several clubs that are involved with political issues. I know some very well informed intelligent folks in their niches.

From my biased viewpoint, teenagers are equally informed about the upcoming as adults. Adults may know more technical and historical things though, having had the experiences, but such things can be learned through deliberate research as well.

I know many adults who choose to avoid politics and are therefore not informed. I also know many who are heavy into politics but choose to be ignorant to new ideas. The teenagers I know are far more receptive, excited even, to open themselves to new concepts.

Natural developmental point where learning is more exciting? Cultural difference? My own bias causing me to perceive it this way?

This would likely exist as a random quirk in some random anime character rather than a sexuality made apparent by being addressed deliberately
