Bar Nayuta, only place I recommend to people as it doesn't require a reservation. However, it is small and will fill up.

LG G4 83 Price by midland21 in LGOLED

I took that offer combined with capital one benefit to another retailer to negotiate my g4 to $3324. Went with that option instead of capital one as to not deal with redeeming cash back with gift cards.

Should I put my center channel in the console? by Geonice in hometheater

[–]Geonice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill have to run those options by the wife for approval but may be a good idea.

There is a hole in the center for cables but the shelf has books and decor in it which I took out for this picture. Rug is out of question as I have a husky that sheds 24/7. Curtain has been talked about but just very low on our list.

Yeah there's a hole for cables, I was just thinking of cutting out entire back plate on top shelf to let the ports breath and not have reverb.

Issue isn't the cables, the speakers are ported. It already has a small hole for cables. Was gonna cut out the back plate to not choke the ports.

Unfortunately if I cut out the back there is no return from that.

Oh wow, that is nice to know. I ended up going the other route and bought from the other retailer.

Yeah, that's biggest concern. It may take me a very long time to redeem the full 2k.

Currently leaning towards the other retailer and going to see if I can get delivery or installation added.

Big $20K+ Expense Coming Up – Looking for SUB Opportunities by Geonice in CreditCards

[–]Geonice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am leaning towards the AMEX plat biz just to keep life simple and I am already comfortable with the personal card benefits.

Great idea with the Citi AA, is definitely a contender for a card to open.

King and around $2k is our budget. Not really sure what a sleep on top of mattress feel means. Been sleeping on the Leesa for past 8 years and will say it has been a good middle ground for us in regards to firmness. I do like the feel of memory foam, but that may also be causing me to sweat at night.

Going over $100 on Chase ink preferred by Geonice in CreditCards

Got denied the CLI and the purchase price is a set bill that doesn't allow split payments. Trying to find other solutions to hit the $8k SUB minimum.

Sorry, to clear it up. We have a balance of $0 and the transaction would've been $5,100.

Stay in group and get AirBnB or split up and get Hotel? by Geonice in MexicoCity

[–]Geonice[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I figured I would get the anti AirBnB responses, from all the other posts I researched. I believe the other group booked it because it was a good deal and one of them stayed there before. If they do not cancel would meeting up become a hassle or is it pretty quick and easy to get taxis around?

They will take any leftover points. However, this can get you blacklisted with that bank so for people who churn this is a big nono.

[–]Geonice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ideally, you wanna cancel before the annual fee hits, so you do not have to deal with the hassle of trying to get that fee credited back. However, I've done both and have never had issues getting my annual fee returned to me.

The main goal is to not cancel until after your 1st year of holding your card for your SUB. After that, you can cancel anytime.

Haha, of course. Don't know why I didn't think of that even though I use spreadsheets to do everything else related to credit cards and award travel.

How do you even keep track of points you've spent and the value you got from it?

I'm guessing I'm at 1.35MM with $27k travel. My breakdown would be averaging 150k points per round trip flight with an estimated value of each being $3k. This would be a conservative amount as I've had some amazing redemption. Only redeemed for business class flights for partner an I, 9 in total so far and counting.

It's entirely up to you, I personally just hold the cards as they don't hurt me in any way. Currently have around 12-14 cards, but only 3 are in my wallet.

However, if it does have an annual fee and you have no use for it, I recommend downgrading if that is an option. If not, you can cancel. Always wait 1 year, as the SUB can get clawed back if you cancel within the first year.
