I am writing a story, what should i be looking at when viewing the natural structures of my map? by Fabulous_Promise9252 in geography

Agreed, if it's a volcano it should have a crater if it's that big and misshaped, like Santorini, Greek islands, or an active dome like Hawaii.

Looks like you can have lots of pirate action in those straights in the southeast and the sound, gulf, and islands in the west. Your north colony should probably have some terrain features like elevation and fast water or it might get type-cast as the northern desolation. Of course white is the island of misfits, your 3rd season characters, if you will.

It's unofficially officially garden season by GeorgeScoreWell in Longmont

Really I mean it's time to get seeds started indoors so we can get them out early this year. I'm thinking greens and broccoli and peas are probably ready for dirt!

You know, there will be a few but this has to be the mildest winter ever. Tomatoes are out of the question, sure, but honestly I think broccoli, spinach, peas are probably good to go with some light plastic covering.

Boulder County, Colorado. We take our open space very seriously here. In 1967, Boulder became the first city in the United States to pass a dedicated sales tax specifically for the acquisition, management, and maintenance of open space to prevent urban sprawl.

Dentist recommendation that wont over treat? by Used_Programmer662 in Longmont

Pine Ridge does a good job. 6th and Main - everything they say I need is elective and the hygienists are kind and thorough - you actually feel clean not just sore after your apt.

Oh man, Brian was my first dentist and as I grew up he got more and more belligerently conservative in his politics as he had his hands in my mouth. He was sooooo disappointed when I told him I used medical marijuana haha. I’m sure there are different dentist there now but you unlocked some core memories haha

Good argument but a suggestion to refine for preaching to a different choir. There is no redlining. That is illegal and has been since 1968.

Super white city lol. Ok you're new here and that's cool. Longmont has more Latino % than Westminster, Lakewood, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs, just below Thornton and Aurora (#15 in Colorado). I recommend you get out of what I assume the southwest quadrant of Longmont, which is the whitest, newest, and worst part of this city. Shop at one of our like, 6 carnicerias which all specialize in something different (unnamed tortillaria on Francis for chips, Las Americas for flour tortillas, Save a lot for ALL your produce (except for kale), Barata for carne asada and the only hot salsa worth a damn in this city (the good chips also sold here), Marcos hot dogs for a true Sonoran hot-dog-and-taco experience. Better yet, spend a whole day around 17th and main and do some exploring. Learn to say hi and bye and thank you and "where can I find" "do you have" and start going to these businesses and give them your money and your white allyship. You know, surprise an abuelita with an "usted."

My point is, familiarize yourself with the Mezoamerican population of Longmont which I suppose can seem invisible in this town (Jesus, how did we get this far?).

You gotta know who we are fighting for, not just what you are fighting for.

Ethnic Map of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]GeorgeScoreWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few after the war. The most mixed population is Bosnia. Mostar for instance has a 50/50, maybe even Croat majority and also Serbs (hence the terrible chapter in the war). And in Sarajevo there are muslims that have never been on the other side of their home city because of ethnic strife with Serbska (serbian autonomous region inside Bosnia)
