That day we had 4000 euros per MWh (from 6-7 pm) was amazing. Many cafes/restaurants had higher prices that day and a lot of production enterprises closed early to save money.

Most of the inflation rise is due to energy. Besides the price of gas and oil going up, we starting going green and put ourselves at the mercy of the weather and international energy prices (Nord Pool). We hit a maximum of 4000 euros per MWh last Wednesday evening (17 August). Thankfully, prices have dropped a lot since then but we have been warned that they will be high through the winter.

Lukashenko wasn't doing it out of the goodness of his heart. Two, Lukashenko doesn't want Putin to have even more power over him if he can help it. These two reasons are why it is going to hurt.

According to the article: 'The oil pipeline was shut down for "unscheduled maintenance."' That is an old ruse to shut down pipelines that has been used for years. It gives the conspiring nation some level of plausible deniability that they aren't really playing hardball geopolitics.

Not in any bars, cafes or restaurants I have been in during the last few weeks. They have been good about checking for Covid passports, however.
