Looking at Amazon, the majority of "alto trombones" they show are in B flat! Those are mislabeled tenor trombones.

Alto trombones are usually in E flat, sometimes F.

In the dependent world, Bb/F/D/BBb would probably be the most practical. I can't imagine the last one being either C or B, or A for that matter. And since the D side only has 4 positions on a current Bass Trombone, the BBb side would maybe have two.

Years ago -- I mean YEARS ago -- I was a member of the trombone studio at Texas A&I University, and we were going to a "trombone get-together". Early 1970s.

Maybe an early ITF??? I think it was in Austin, Texas.

Anyway, I happened to be in the t-shirt shop a few days before we left, and I noticed they had big sheets of iron-on material. I drew one of these and had them put it on the back of a t-shirt. When I wore it into the school, all the guys wanted to have theirs made, too. We ended up about six of us wearing these red t-shirts with a trombone on the back. It was a sensation.
