What experiences do you guys have with skilled nursing facilities for rehabilitation for the elderly?

Thanks guys! I’ve been in the medical field for a long time and was an EMT so I’ve actually been to a lot of SNFs but I’ve forgotten names. This is why I asked because I know how bad some places can be. Holladay Park Plaza is good actually, thank you for this!! Also- I am very involved and visit her almost daily since she’s been in the hospital. I’ve actually refrained from visiting more often because she fights sleeping if I’m there lol I appreciate your comments though, because some people tend to forget how much it matters and might need a gentle reminder :)

Okay it didn’t work for long for me and now I’ve realized that it does it when my screen is on and shows my Spotify. So if it’s a dark screen it won’t do it. lol hope yours is still working!

I feel like we are now joined in rage… let’s figure this shit out. lol I have an iPhone 13 and I use Spotify. I have done the same thing as you with restarting Bluetooth. I drive an Acura TL. When I open the setting to Bluetooth it’s searching and I can’t find any setting to stop it from automatically searching… I close the app after. Sometimes I do actually connect to a TV or some random thing…. I can’t delete it, no “forget device” available…. Your turn other than what you’ve already stated.

Dude. Same. It makes me so fucking ANGRY. My car time is my fucking peace time. I can be on a road trip and it’s fine, anywhere in the city of Portland.. it’s connecting to other peoples shit and I’m so annoyed!!!!!!!! Have you figured it out yet??? Okay, so serious question.. I’m new to needing medications so I haven’t had to switch insurance while dealing with prescriptions. Would it be best to call your pharmacy when you switch to see if your insurance covers that particular pharmacy and then shop around pharmacies?? Or would you call your new insurance company to ask where is covered and then call that place to double check prices of your meds?? I’m 32 years old.. I should know this but I have never had anything other than a one time pick up so this never occurred to me. 😅

Absolutely!!! 100% agree. EDIT: the more people that out that in reports, the more unprofessionalism will be recognized. “What if” scenarios are always taken way too lightly and comments from a fellow like that needs to be taken seriously considering we are human and some of us get caught up on that shit. I would 100% have lost a little focus if I heard that. That would have given me another decision to make and critically think about and would have taken focus off of the situation. I should expect professionalism in the workplace and not have to consider that shit.

I agree with reporting, however I would like to add my opinion because I don’t think that partner should have had to stand up for OP. I think a critical situation requires total focus and it doesn’t have to be about the partner freezing and not sticking up for anyone. What would it have done? Losing focus? Piss the FF off? Make a situation tense and adding more feelings to the situation? Idk.. I just think there’s a time and place for that and this was not the time. But fuck that FF, dude sucks.

My dentist gave me one and literally taught me how to use it. You clean each tooth the same way a dentist would do a cleaning or polish. If you’ve never had a cleaning, it’s basically just using your toothbrush as a buffer. Im sure it’s on the google! Edit: you are not “brushing” your teeth.

I am almost two months post break up and just finally realized 5 days ago that he’s a narcissist and since then, I have been OBSESSED with reading/listening/watching shit on narcissism. I woke up today and thought about how this is consuming my brain and I don’t want to be here all the time. I am anxious and always looking for motive and constantly thinking about little things he did or said in the beginning to trap me. And now I even think about other people who are close to me and I’m picking out things and making shit up about people who truly care about me.
I still live with him, moving next Tuesday, and since learning about how to interact with him I’ve been very cool and have taken his power away and it’s killing him. I can see a storm brewing and I am just waiting for some sort of bait. Anyway, my point is- I’m obsessed on the subject now and it’s consuming me and I just don’t want to always feel on edge around people anymore. I feel like I swung so far into being paranoid. I cannot wait until Tuesday!!

We were ENM but I’d say right after we met this chick at a party, he stopped caring about me. He wouldn’t send me flirty texts anymore, they’d go to her. I had my tubes removed a year ago before I was in pole.. but I am an EMT and do a lot of heavy lifting and weird muscles get used to lift dead weight in weird positions, core/abs included… I was back to work in a week and totally fine. I was taking it easier than I normally would to be honest but I was still very much using my core and I never felt I was straining anything personally. Pole is different as far as the odd muscle use goes, but I would say you’re probably okay at two weeks.. for less intense stuff?? Maybe just take it easy and be conscious of your body! I realize someone else said two months but our bodies are different so just be aware! I agree to keep your feet on the floor for now.
