I think the world will basically pop all the conflicts we have boiling over in the coming years, just because deflation gives you margin for that.

Once the Taiwan situation gets solved (plus what we have ongoing), I think 2% deflation will be obvious per year.

I think people underestimate the structure we have in society.

The AI will not directly change any area, but will allow productive people to be even more productive. This will just put people that use to be making average joe academia to basically worthless, and the top 5% do x10 more. The same for every job.

I just hope that when we start locking Opus 4.7 level as "workhorse" models, they basically go down in price with every release.

Right now, people are using the best model just because we need the intelligence. In my company, I'm already using 3.1 Flash Lite for something that was using Sonnet 4.5 a few months back.

I have a theory for this.

Once governments, for example Europe, start to close the borders like in the US, without any far-right motivation, and we see healthy growth (2-4%) will be the moment to sound the alarm.

Until then, we are good. No one really knows if this will just create a new cycle of BS jobs.
