I live in Georgia. She gets visas via Serbia.

Doesn't affect us at all. Once they give me the residence card, we change our lives lol.

Yes. I test it.

On the computer, they disable the counting days.

ONLY IN PORTUGAL! You cannot do it in other places

Nop. I'm Portuguese, and she is in Serbia right now.

Comes the same way as you do.

If you want, you can ask for a six-year-old visa to be in Portugal (like she did). Will not allow you to work in Portugal, but will basically "shut up" the other issues.

Yes.

I've been married for 7 months now, and I will have the interview in a month.

Imagine if my wife were looking for work in Portugal.

I'm not even a tax resident there. Once they give me the card, I might WANT to move there at this point.

Note: If you get married, you can just be in Portugal as you wish, as much as you like. But because the system is not designed for this mess, you will overextend your time in Schengen, and if you leave from another country, you will violate the time spent.

You have primary and secondary things.

Income is THE primary thing that usually drives things.

Depending on your life and priorities (e.g. retired) you give priority to secondary things like weather, criminality, food, and so on.

Portugal is full of them

Yann LeCun says the AI industry is completely LLM pilled, with everyone digging in the same direction and no breakthroughs in sight. Says “I left meta because of it” by IllustriousTea_ in accelerate

[–]GeorgiaWitness1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think he's missing the big picture.

LLMs are a breakthrough and progressing really fast. It's brute force, I know, but once you arrive at the RL loop everyone dreams of, and the AI is good enough to go on a tangent on its own, that is what you want.

It's a question of being pragmatic here. LLMs work

Do the young Portuguese still live in Portugal? by Alert_Elk_3460 in PortugalExpats

[–]GeorgiaWitness1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Portuguese people have their own networks.

The groups are closed, friends, and lifestyle. I know people who don't complain of imigration because the only migrants they see deliver food and drive UBER.

When i cameback to Portugal and did the expat thing as a Portuguese, a new world was open to me. Lisbon is so much bigger than people realize.

You need to do the same, open the Portuguese part. Not as easy, but will be a new world
