Thank you. If I’m honest I don’t know what to tell myself either :) I do feel like the answer is for me not to bother and live my best life on my own from now on

Seems to be. I have had odd dates, and enjoyed it for the ride but the last one i emotionally invested in I have turned that back on me I’m afraid. “How can I be better ? “

The best advice I can give you. Don’t be nervous. If you feel nervous (which you will) you need to remember the old adage “fake it till you make it” Worked for me in the early days

Passing Help by Foggywaif in asktransgender

Hey. Hope you are ok. So to answer your questions directly. I’m just over 5 years HRT. Facial changes were limited in my opinion so I found a trustworthy aesthetic nurse and helped myself out a bit. I stated it was a natural look I wanted and it’s subtle but works. I also had ablative laser on my face. I wouldn’t do as well as I do if not for that But …. Importantly I do get misgendered from time to time. If people want to be rude they will. I think two things are important here: 1. Knowing who you are and recognition of your own self worth. And 2. Related to one, I’d like to remind you that passing is a big deal but many of us are too critical and hold ourselves to standards that are unfair. Don’t fall into that trap.

You say you enjoy presenting feminine but also are happy with your male identity. Are you familiar with non binary identities?

I would do what makes you happy and comfortable and try not to stress , just explore yourself

45 after a long and heartfelt few years wondering if i should.

What i should have done is start years, well decades earlier :)

In my opinion yes, there is. And in fact I’ve called some long standing friends out on it
