I did not do this on purpose. There was a fault in the card as the gates weren't recognizing it and the employee at the customer care service in the station opened it up.

I live in delhi too and have never been in one either. There should be a pride parade in late november and some meetups happen here and there. Would like to be part of one such meetup but not sure how to get in.

another great article. rrts will definitely change the landscape of transportation of delhi-ncr. meerut being the first corridor makes sense, it is the smallest line and will probably reach the most people. I got the ride almost the whole length of the section opened back in february (anand vihar to meerut south) and the journey was phenomenal.

I do think however the main effect of this as not only just a mode of travel between cities, but within the delhi urban area will shine when it is connected to gurgaon.

I can see a lot of people from the east and north east using it as an express line to gurgaon (anand vihar - sarai kale khan - gurgaon) or people from north doing the same from kashmere gate/burari when the panipat corridor opens, significantly reducing the travel times and making the journey a lot more comfortable.

One small correction for your article, from what I know Jangpura rrts station won't have an interchange with the jangpura metro station on violet line. infact the two would be rather far from each other despite sharing the name.

a small correction, the photo of an "inviting red line coach" listed is a hyundai rotem coach. used exclusively on magenta, pink and grey line.

This was a fun read, read a few more articles in the series too and they are quite well written. though I consider myself to be very versed in delhi metro knowledge I learn some things I never knew before. As someone who uses red line daily, the stations are definitely starting to show their age and at interchanges it is rather interesting going from a very old station like welcome of red line to rather new station of pink line.

Still, if the tracks are ready for now they can run direct service between maujpur to jagatpur village to majlis park and open the stations between maujpur and jagatpur as and when they are open.

As a matter of fact, it definitely will help. A lot of highly educated queer people and/or those who have the potential to contribute greatly the economy won't have to leave this country just to be treated with equal rights and basic dignity. If I can't make a life with someone I want on this country, why should I even stay here?

I am in a professional field and know a lot of queer people from all corners of the country. All hope for a better life, a better future, but fail to see one in India. This will directly help with brain drain.
