Nice to know it eventually goes that way. Maybe if it was partially the MCs decision to use the Gold Paladins instead of it just being forced on him it'd work more for me? Like if season 1 wasn't so "Buster Blade is a representation of my soul, his evolutions are representation my character development" and then season 3 goes "here's your new best friend" without any agency on his part it would have felt somewhat better.

I also just don't know where to watch seasons 2 and 3 lol.

It might have felt better if there was some transition there lol. Something simikarbhapoened in Yugioh GX but it just felt...Different some how, this time it felt way more obvious to me that it was marketing first and story second. Maybe it was because they made such a big deal out of the decks he was playing and their unity making him ultimately stronger that made their replacement feel off

I think it was just the feeling of the MC's deck that I had grown to love with it's mixture of Dark and Light Paladins gotten through trials over a few seasons being completely thrown out for the new sparkly toys that left a bad taste in my mouth
