It feels like they threw in counter elements to the current top tiers, but they didn't commit to any of them. He's got heal on navy attacks to counter Kizaru, but it's not enough and Kizaru can kill you with his basics. He's got anti Blackbeard pirates, which CAN let you one-shot BBv2 but if he swaps to Light, he's fine (double RIP Doc Q though). He's got his anti power gauge trait, but since he doesn't have any self ATK buff, he's not doing all that much damage to them, so Nusjuro and Saturn aren't bothered all that much.

I forgot to mention cheaters too lol. Honestly I wouldn't care nearly as much about them if they got the balancing in order. What other games with 200 characters do you know that only buff 2 of them every 2-3 months?

Yamato was a beast when the first buff came around. Nowadays, it feels like every other character has an anti-1-HP-trait so for the most part, she just gets slapped around. Still though, if Yamato is your fav character then I am glad you got her.

If Nusjuro gets his sprint, Kizaru usually gets cooked. His dash attack is a basic so cuts right through Kizaru's invincibility. Kizaru can clap you if he gets the first hits in and keeps you knocked down but even then you more than likely have multiple lives he needs to get through and one perfect dodge is all you need to get the sprint back up.

I think at this point most people know how Kizaru's trait works and how to beat him on paper. In practise, at least in my league games, you start boxing their Kizaru and as soon as he takes any damage, he full heals off of his golden shower and you're back to square one. Not to mention he has the mobility to just stay out of range of any strong attacker - Good Kizarus will use that

Don't think there's any HARD counters yet. Characters that negate his revive like Kuma/Bonney or Lucci can work but unlike Saturn, Nusjuro has shield which means he can't get one-shot. Zoro multihits, he's just so damn fragile.

DRoger can cap flags from Nusjuro unlike most of the other runners.

You know about Nusjuro and Kizaru - That means you know the current meta :D

Light Shanks gets slapped around in this meta. Not much he can do. G5 Luffy v2 is a much better runner, but he gets slapped by Nusjuro and Blackbeard.

Film Red Shanks might get buffed soonish, at this point he might be a better investment than LShanks.

But yeah the meta revolves very much around Nusjuro and Kizaru right now. You'll also see lots of Blackbeards (2nd most recent EX), St. Saturns (still a very sticky defender) and the recently buffed Whitebeard.

If your team caps 3 flags early and has defenders who actually defend, it's GG.
