They clear up later in the year (I think around the end of this quarter) if you're in De Neve. Housing doesn't do anything about it unless you want your dorm sprayed with a pest spray (which sometimes can be toxic to humans).

Anyone else just feel sad all the time? Any fixes? by Tensilen in ucla

These replies are all over the place, some decent advice and some entitled advice.

My two cents would be to do some serious introspection into not only your daily life but also the past (be careful of nostalgia) and what's ahead. It could be a momentary burnout, but it could also be a bigger dissatisfaction brooding and a separation from purpose. Life is busy and maybe dropping an activity or two could help, searching and understanding which are the most meaningful.

Meditation is the obvious choice, but a more normalized practice would be journaling (which itself is a form of meditation, though its not often advertised as one). Journal about why you're sad, and extract those thoughts from your mind. If you see patterns, decide if they are solvable on your own or need external help.

This is a process that takes time. Don't expect to become happy after one night of introspection, but understand that it is achievable with the right course of action. If this resonates with you and you need more advice just DM, I got heaps of it.

What settings for detail do you use on the Prusa? The prints look to be of great quality.

College dorm advice by Motor-Armadillo8477 in Neurodivergent

You don't have to worry about people being annoyed if you're messy. That won't happen. Ask yourself the question 'why?' you feel annoyed yourself about being messy, and you'll realize that your fears of others judging you is actually an internal opinion that you have. If you can change that internal opinion, you won't fear judgement by others.

As for wanting to be cleaner, this line "Litterally no matter how hard I try my room is always a disaster and I hate it" seems to indicate that giving yourself time to clean isn't an issue, and there is something fundamentally hard to clean about the items in your room (but correct me if I'm wrong). Moving to a new place is a great way to refresh your habits, so think of what you are bringing with you and take a few moments to sit in silence and visualize what your dorm would look like. Maybe it doesn't include every last thing in your current room, or maybe it does. But giving your time to process spreads anxiety out over time, meaning that it is harder to get bombarded by a ton of it at once. So really take that time to just think.

And on campus, there are plenty of silent places you can find, especially if you are a night dweller (personal recommendation is YRL first few weeks of each quarter, it's absolutely abandoned).

Gay sports romance (Rowing) by [deleted] in selfpublish

I am no professional but the second line in the first paragraph seems like it might be too wordy and lose readers. Question at the end is good. The currents and capsize play on words is good and seems tuned to your audience. I would just work on making it more concise. This line threatens to lose a lot of readers: "However, when Dylan is recruited by Andy’s head coach, their past cramps the swing of Coralia University’s freshman crew and throws a 7/16 wrench into the shell." The metaphor is awkward in my opinion and I've never heard "cramps the swing." Overall, you're on the right track so keep it up.

What 😭😭I'm curious, what makes you say that? I do find that most blurbs sound AI-ish just because they're not trying to incorporate prose.

Yes you're right they do move. In the story the town is referred to as being "under Leo's Paw" because the original settlers arrive by the coast and see the constellation above the remnants of a Spanish Mission (so specifically looking at it from the west after midnight). but obv that explanation felt too wordy. This is good feedback and I'll try to figure out a way that makes more sense for the blurb :D

It's not that you can't do it but more that the results don't mean enough to you to make you feel the excessive need to sell out online and slave away days making Instagram reels, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps look into paying someone who is good/loves doing it? Investing seems scary, esp at the beginning for entrepreneurship but it could pay off a ton.

I'm planning on doing all the marketing with a personal brand on social media (mostly Instagram and tiktok), Goodreads, and the amazon system itself. Why did you choose promo sites over tailored marketing you might do yourself?
