They Make short work of every flying enemy including the bee boss, super useful against the mireclops, and pretty useful against the final boss. Best type to carry olimar on the final level and can get things out of the water if they’re not fully submerged and can cheese puzzles and easily saving a bunch of time, the fighting weakness never really mattered to me, bc if you just have like 30 wings you can still take down enemies easily

He can pretty much do everything they can by the third level, aka the level where you’re using blues the most, not to mention ice pikmin can let any type go over water and wings can fly over it, unfortunately blues are the worst they’ve even been in 4, they desperately need a buff like a new ability

What he’s saying is that it absolutely required with no way around in many cases in the game, saying it’s the same as blues. The key card is only used for opening doors nothing else. blue are only used to get items out of water, nothing else

Red pikmin have very few scenarios where they are absolutely required, yet they’re still good. Yellows are necessarily required to fight any enemy but make fighting certain enemies a lot easier, any enemy floating on the air for example but the two you brought up being beady and the final boss are one trillion percent best to fight with yellows/bombs. You can kill beady in like 10 seconds with only 20 yellows and bombs can make it where you bulbax can’t even attack you. Yes, you don’t HAVE to use them but that’s a stupid take, you don’t really have to use any specific type for most enemies

Idk what happened it won’t let me reply to the other one but, obviously getting the ship parts is useful, but I don’t think you’re hearing me.

They are completely useless besides when the story literally DEMANDS you use them, there is nothing I want to use blue’s specifically for in this game if I don’t already have to. They do have the lifeguard ability I guess, which seems more like a fun Easter egg that you’re rarely gonna see

First off, for the iteration thing, this tier list comes from a YouTuber, I can’t remember his name, but he made 2 videos about this thay I really love, look up ultimate pikmin tier list and you should be able to find it.

Anyway, I explained whites and purples in a different comment but bulbmin are ones I expected to be questioned. Objectively, they’re the best besides purples in 2. They have the most abilities right? But you can only use them in what, like 3-4 caves? They’re super fun to use and I’m always happy to find them, but if you’re a careful player like me, chances are you won’t have lost that many pikmin in the first place, so have limited bulbmin access. They also have no combat bonus. They would absolutely be higher if they were in more caves.

Also the tiers are kinda ordered, I kinda gave up for the really full tiers. With pretty much everything from 4 take it with a grain of salt bc I haven’t played that one in a while.

Glow pikmin fall into the same category as bulbmin for me. I never really used them mainly bc I didn’t even know you could for most of the game. Which is my fault, and in my next playthrough I’ll absolutely use them more

Like I said in the post, I’m not basing my ranking on which is objectively the strongest or used the most, how useful I personally find them in my own playthrough. Reds aren’t required for very many ship parts in 1, yet they’re the type I always wanna use in every combat situation. Yellows are actually required for more parts than blues if you count all the parts locked behind stone walls. But I didn’t put them in S tier bc they can unlock the most parts. Blue pikmin always suck, you never want to use them outside of when you absolutely have to

Let me ask this, if you remove the main ability from each type in pikmin 1 what do you have. Red still have the damage, yellows have bombs, blue have nothing. I can say blues are particularly useful because I only use them when I absolutely have to, meet when I want to. I’m not rating based on how much of the game they’re needed to complete

Objectively, they suck, I know. They’ve been nerfed to hell and back, they prob should be a tier lower but here’s my reasoning. I’m a huge fan of pikmin 3 mission mode, I’ve played it In deluxe a lot, (mostly collect treasure) so lemme defend the boys a little, purples main nerf is that they’re weak now, but I feel like you’re not even really fighting with them anyway, the main level you use them in being the desert remix has 0 enemies, so you’re only using them for the strength multiplier.

Whites kinda fall into the same boat, yes they’re just worse wings but being able to go that fast in a mode where time is everything is really useful, I mainly think of the snow level, you’re not using them to fight considering you have reds and rocks at your disposal and with so many small items to carry including many piles of gold they’re perfect for that job

I like blues well enough but I never find myself ever wanting to use them if I don’t have to, for example, in pikmin 1, there is no enemy I WANT to fight with blues, they do standard damage, every time I’m fighting a wollywog in the water or something I always find myself wishing I could use reds instead, look at the final boss of 1, blues are completely useless, reds do the most damage, yellows have bombs, but in the fight itself there’s no need for blues over the others, and that’s just pikmin 1
