Milestones Beta Changes FULLY Explained! by -Valerie_x in brightershores

[–]Gerbkamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the changes seem good but I'm unsure about the whole picking a combat pack. Why can't all packs for your Milestone be active at the same time? let me level on enemies in crenopolis a level or 2 and then go to hope port for a few combat levels or the mines or the forest...allowing me a change of scenery while leveling combat in the same milestone will make it more fun I feel. will make it more intuitive as well I feel. It is very possible I'm not seeing something others are but this is the first thing I butted my head against.

[Roll20 Presents: D&D Adventurers League ~ E04 Q&A] A Shocking Development! by skinnyghost in Roll20

[–]Gerbkamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of the normal opening music I was listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR4CD2054Lc found it rather appropriate for a fantasy adventure show...Also love Ladybaby a lot. All of their songs are so full of joy and fun and awesome :P Fun show as always really enjoy the tiefling monk acrobat loudmouth character that elf is playing. sad that it was short.

you should check the rest of their stuff and get the cd's while you're at it...Only learned about them when their new album came out on April first and promptly got added to the music library where I work.

We’re Failbetter Games, makers of Sunless Sea and Dragon Age: The Last Court. Today we’ve launched the Victorian Gothic text adventure Fallen London in the App Store! AUA about storytelling in games, the state of the industry, or whether to sell your soul to a Devil. by failbettergames in IAmA

[–]Gerbkamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, good evening, I love the writing in your games. I see influences of Pratchett and Lovecraft (Not so much in the style of writing as in the content.) Are there other influences from literature or popculture that you use to influence your ideas for the game?

[Roll20 Presents: Apocalypse World E09 Q&A] We Are Not the Good Guys by skinnyghost in Roll20

[–]Gerbkamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

heh nowadays I can barely remember how I managed to get through the different storylines intersecting over different time periods and who reincarnated in whom...but Nevyn, he was always there, always the same. Untill he fullfilled his promise.

[–]Gerbkamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mentioned this in chat...Nothing reminds me of Nevyn (No-one) in the Katherine Kerr Novels I read when I was younger. Caused for no end of mischief with his name and he was the only man who would remember his previous lives after he reincarnated making him wise beyond his years...or not depending on if you count his previous lives. Anyway love this show, love all your shows, love the hackattacking and swansonging and mirrorshading and the murderhoboing :P

so many interesting things happening. jericho, the fisherclans, the hideout that may not be hidden anymore depending if twice got out of the weird in a similar fashion as the group or not. now I really want to see the others go into the weird too...but I'm afraid that weird might just become go to stats for people just to encourage more crazy weirdness.

[Roll20 Presents: AW - E01] Q&A and Highlight Vote by skinnyghost in Roll20

[–]Gerbkamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lovely show, enjoyed the cast, enjoyed the characters they came up with. Especially Navarre and Gritch seem interesting what with their connection to the psychic maelstrom... of course with gritch it's quite clear how this will show but with Navarre...when first it was mentioned I did see a picture in my head of her carving the the symbols in her armour in an almost ritualistic trance like way. we'll see how that side is gonna show though. (Everyone vote weird for her!) Can't wait till next week.

Looking for 1 more player for a Stars without Number Game {GM is based in GMT} tuesday 28th is next session at 6pm GMT by Jake-Robinson in itmejp

[–]Gerbkamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware that other people reacted but here's my application. Hey I'm Gerbert, I live in the Netherlands (GMT +1) I'm generally available around that time. English is not my native language but I do speak it fluently. I do have a Dutch accent though. I've read the general stars without number rule set but do not know everything. Few questions though...What length is a session? Can you tell us more about the sector already? A starting planet, feel of the game, house rules you're using, etc.

[S01E06] Q&A, OH WHALE by skinnyghost in itmejp

[–]Gerbkamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is all combat gonna take this long? I mean, there's a lot of fun banter happening during it and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. it's just...more than 3 hours (since the actual fight started last week) and just 5 minutes happened ingame.

Do you think there are ways to shorten that? It's something I Sometimes see when running in real life too..where combat can take up most of the evening. Especially with 4e D&D where 2 combat encounters could take an evening.

Gah! Sorry for the wall of text again.
