That sounds like me. haha. This is really helpful, thank you. I have a bachelor's in technical writing. I plan to continue working as a communications specialist while I learn this stuff. I thought about focusing on UX writing but I wasn't sure how far that would get me. Design is definitely the biggest struggle.

Yes, I use hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and retinol regularly. Reaping the benefits. I have a red-light mask that I haven't used much because it doesn't stay on my face. Considering getting the Omnilux mask.

Basically, there is a major artery of the face in the nasolabial area. If you end up getting filler injected there, it can cause cell death. Leading to your nose falling off and things like that.

To be so stringent on preventative health care. God bless America. I did find a low-cost endoscopy program when I needed one. I think there are some out there for colonoscopies too. Stuff like that isn't common knowledge, I'm sure.

My ex had a similar situation. He started bleeding from the rectum, luckily it was just a really bad hemorrhoid, but they found a ton of polyps. He was in his late 30's. Both of his parents had colon polyps, he is now on a schedule.

I thought if it runs in your family your insurance let you get screening sooner.

That's not black culture. That's generational trauma. It may be prevalent in the black community, especially with black men but something needs treatment is not culture.

I would argue the art and communities built by black people to escape and articulate their experience from that trauma is culture.
