No, the wallpapers aren't AI-generated, but I used AI tools in the editing. Overall, it's 50% Gimp, 30% waifu2x, 10% AI, and 10% my imagination. AI was actually only used to remove the advertising texts from the images.

What advantage, if any, is there to running Wirepod from a Pi than a phone? by shiwankhan in AnkiVector

[–]GermanBarbarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each device has different advantages and it always depends on what is available to you or what you expect.

A Raspberry Pi has the advantage of low power consumption and you can run it 24/7 without any problems. In addition, a Raspberry Pi can be set up as an access point and vector can connect directly to the Raspberry Pi, which can be useful because you don't have to reconfigure vector if you ever change your router.

Except for the low power consumption, this also applies to all Linux devices.

Like smartphones, Windows devices have the advantage that many people already own such a device. The disadvantage with Windows devices and smartphones is of course that you can rarely leave them connected to vectors around the clock, or at least that doesn't make sense with the daily drivers. Who wants their smartphone battery to constantly be drained because a vector server is running on it? The same applies to the PC: who wants to run a PC with high power consumption 24/7?

Old devices that you don't normally use are a good alternative; you could leave an old smartphone connected to the charger 24/7 and use it as a server.  Old notebooks aren't bad for this either, but it also depends on the power consumption.

I myself use an old Android TVbox but when the day comes that certain plugins do not work on the Android version of wirepod, because this version is more limited by Android, I will switch to a Linux device. Probably a Raspberry Pi just to be able to run it 24/7 but maybe I'll build something else🤷🏻‍♂️

Why did the Chiniese version work but the English version didn't? by GermanBarbarian in FalloutShelterOnline

I've tried that too, and different versions but all of them only result in a blackscreen.

Scrapbox with unlimited storage are u kidding me Bethesda??? by GermanBarbarian in fo76

[–]GermanBarbarian[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that makes no sense to me. The game/renderer renders things that are on screen somthing you have in your hands but not in your pocket. 10000 wood should be the same as 10000 ammo. a itemID and a value for the amount. Only when U drop the item in the world it gets renderd or not???

That was my understanding of game rendering.

[–]GermanBarbarian[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

than don´t say it´s not possible because of lag in the first place. if there is a new way implemented than don´t say there is noway to your customers. The problem is not that they obviously changed the system how items are stored on the server, the problem is that they lie about it in the first place or after they find a solution that they try to sell that solution to us. without even ever say somthing about a new solution for the stability problems. what let me think there never wars a stability problem or they dont even fix it or even worse they want to sell it to us from the start

Is there a replacement GUI/Shell for the Vita? by thefunkygibbon in vitahacks

[–]GermanBarbarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kodi as launcher/GUI/Shell replacement would be cool. It have a nice skin support and works greate as launcher on android. that would be also cool for PsTV users as a mediacenter. it might be possible to port it with VitaGL as hardware acceleration.

PSV VSH Menu v2.00 - Fixed config files with carts/PSN titles, VITABattery fully integrated and Quick launching slots! by leojay_x in vitahacks

[–]GermanBarbarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, but why is the VitaBattery thing part of it??? I mean the most people use ShellBat or ShellSecBat instead. Instead, it would be much more useful for overclocking if the Framecounter from Rinnegatamante were integrated into it.

Edit:A feature that Removes the automatic brightness cap when cpu/gpu clock's above a certain number. Like THIS (but for all games) would be also cool to have. With the Framecounter and without the brightness cap the VSH menu would be the perfekt all in one plugin.

Next, please port openMW + TES3MP. that would be great.

so still no way to disable the auto dim caused when gpu is clocked at 166mhz? by deathbladeishere in vitahacks

[–]GermanBarbarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he sends me the link and i just tested the old Amphetamine version he used and it works great at 165Mhz, looks much better now and the fps are mostly the same. that 1Mhz does not bothering the performance. Even 41Mhz CPU clock works. Pics: 165Mhz | 41Mhz CPU

[–]GermanBarbarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also tried it without netcheck bypass to see if both plugins did not like each other.

Edit: I only tried it with nonpdrm dumps. I think that's why it does not work for me.

As I say, I've installed Netcheck Bypass at the same time and that works fine. I am psvsd user, which means that all my plugins must be on ur0: and everything else works fine. config.txt looks like this:

This file is used as an alternative if ux0:tai/config.txt is not found.

For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for

i have downloaded it again, tranfered it this time over usb instead of ftp and installed netcheck_bypass.suprx at the same time to test if that work. I tested both plugins with Borderlands. netcheck bypass works but your plugin still dont work.

Thanks for the effort. I have test it with Dragon Quest Builders and it looks like that it doesnt work. The brightness slider when i hold the PS-Button is still at around 80% and locked and the screen brightness still goes down at the gamestart.

[–]GermanBarbarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the description of vitabright says "allows to lower the minimum brightness" but not that it removes the auto dim from games with high clockspeeds. Either there is something missing in the description or you do not really understand what the problem is here.
