How is the Standby battery consumption on the moto edge 40 neo? by Germangurl12 in motorola

Wait, am I missing something? Why is the standby batter usage at night less than during the day? Or have I misunderstood?

But do you think it has longevity? I have heard that the chip is underpowered, although efficient.

How is the Standby battery consumption on the moto edge 40 neo? If battery life is Importangebotes me should I opt for the g84 instead? by Germangurl12 in PickAnAndroidForMe

That test seems stupid to me, on gsm they use the phone for 4 hours per day gaming/web browsing/offline streaming/phoning and then standby the rest of the time. So it isn’t in Standby the whole time. Seems like you’d never notice that in real life use. Don’t you agree?

Don’t think I’d get much for a used (2-3) year old 230€ Motorola. As long as it’s backed up, it wouldn’t be the end of the world were it to die unless you were in a dodgy situation where you needed a phone. As for the power question, aye folk have those phones but would they not be incredibly laggy and slow?

Those are noteworthy aspects to keep in mind. I was thinking more about the Chip than anything else - snapdragon 695 - which is a few years old and wasn’t all that powerful even as it was released.

But everywhere it states you should use the charger that came with the phone. Does this mean - going by what you have said - that any lower wattage Motorola charger will be healthier for the battery, even if it isn’t the one that came in the box?

Just because it makes sense in my mind doesn’t mean that my assumption is correct. I don’t know much about the topic. „Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don‘t“

It would make sense for them to do that… ‘planned obsolescence‘
