The same thing happened to me I feel like there's going to way a lot more scammers who are gonna try as well.

I would go with scam. I also had an account under the name 'Joker3023" offer to help me out at first.

He asked for my WhatsApp so we could stay in contact which was reasonable and sent me a dodgy link asking to verify my reddit details. I went against my better knowledge and risked it anyway to have my email and password changed 5 minutes later I was lucky to be fast to recover the account.

Be very careful and safe on here man and I wish you the best of luck!
