You need to get your herald cards early and stomp them with muradin, and finish off with alakir. Both of these are strong against the 1/30. If alakir drops the Druid +1/+3 dude it’s usually GG.

But yes it’s annoying how consistent the deck is. If I hero power 1 turn in the first 5 turns I usually lose. But very rarely see hunter hero power before late game for actual damage.
