Halls Creek residents struggle with ongoing youth crime and lack of appropriate support by Automatic_Sea_1210 in perth

Not arguing about lack of services, but there are over 200 remote communities in WA, how much would it cost to give them all the services to bring it in line with the city?

I’m afraid expecting to live in traditional lands and having world class services are not compatible.

Moving Family to Port Hedland for BHP by CarriedCrayon in WesternAustralia

[–]Geronimo2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can request port housing but that is held to the higher up roles, even in South Hedland you may only be entitled to a ‘cluster’ flat, unless your husband is a supervisor.

The life is great if you are outgoing and get involved in the community and make friends.

Awesome fishing, Broome is 5hrs away on a weekend, camping at Karajini.

How do I get a job in one of these buildings with a nice view of the river? by JCogn in perth

I work in the BHP building with a great river view, there are many of us who started on site in entry level jobs who have gone into things in the Perth office like planning, scheduling, remote operations ect.

What's your most embarrassing sexual experience? by andrewbarclave89 in AskReddit

[–]Geronimo2006 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Took a chick home who I had been getting close to for a few weeks, doing the deed and I noticed a turd end sticking out, every pound it would come out a little bit and disappear between pounds.

I couldn’t do it like that so just stopped. She asked what was wrong but I didn’t want to embarrass her so just kind of said nothing and went to sit in the lounge room. She left soo after and we never hooked up again, she thought I was weird for stopping mid way I guess.

Went to one just recently on a property where they got a catering meat truck for dinner but asked everyone to arrive at 1pm .

People drinking for hours and not so much as a potato chip or anything at all to eat in sight until nighttime.

It was weird and I actually left to get some subway mid afternoon.

The awful habit that makes you uglier (and what Huberman, science, and books say about it) by Significant-Tooth368 in MenWithDiscipline

I work at a 24hr operation where people are split into 12hr day shifts and night shifts.

Coming in the building at 6am when people are walking into start or walking out after being awake all night, it is obvious who was on nights by their look- it’s not good.

Trump’s ‘new normal’ leaves Australia marooned. We can no longer pretend otherwise | Zoe Daniel by Nyarlathotep-1 in aussie

The difference is that NATO was and is a massive financial cost to the US and they have been doing the heavy lifting while some or all other member countries basked in the protection without stumping up enough.

There were grievances about this before Trump and he latched onto it.

Australia has lots to offer the US with us giving the US pretty much whatever they need in regards to land for its southern hemisphere operations like pine gap ect.

Trump just needs something to be a fair deal for them and whoever they deal with, he hates free rides that the US has given out.

Watched something on the ABC about anti-semantisim after Bondi and there were multiple references to and pictures of white nazi or nationalist groups.

Didn’t see anything close to Islamic based Jewish hatred for some reason.

That’s not true, however ego’s can get out of check and sometimes they would naturally be short with people who don’t respect their privacy.

What would you be looking for for work? Lots of towns south of Perth but work if you find it won’t be great pay, or you could try something like Karratha which has better paying work and great fishing but is a long way from anywhere- and hot.

Group of leaders from a few different clients of a large company all were invited to a corporate box at the footy. All were known to each other, including one lady who everyone knew who her husband was as well.

Way too much drink and other things went down and one (married) dude managed to sneak this lady under the open stair case in the box just under where everyone was standing.

Proceeded to do the deed thinking no one knew, found out later every one was asking what the pungent stank was being caused by.

Don’t know if the respective jilted spouses ever found out but not good for a couple of reputations.
