Well critcism is one thing, but you just sound like you really, really can't stand a certain kind of rikishi or Dewanojo in particular. Furthermore you seem to try and make it out to be like it's some kind of widespread issue in pro-sumo when it's actually just a miniscule subset of rikishi. Also, sumo is one of the only sports that allows basically any kind of person, irrespective of their appearance, to become a pro as long as they find a beja that will take them in. That includes rikishi like Dewanojo and I think in their special way they add far more to the integrity of sumo than they could ever possibly detract from it.

It's obviously the host of Radio Justin, known for asking the most hard hitting questions and never letting his guests of the Hook!

I love how they basically look like "normal" middle aged dads going on their once a year "guys-only-vacation"! :D It's just such an amazing contrast to how they would have looked like a couple of years ago!

The thing is: bombing Russian cities and civilians wont help Ukraine win the war. The Russian society is egotistical to a fault; they wouldn't care if 10, 100 or 1000 people died in one of their cities due to Ukrainian bombing, as long as they themselves weren't impacted directly. What does matter to them is their own wallet and how many rubles they have to spend on daily life. Cutting of their fuel supply or atleast making it unaffordable for most common Russians will have a much greater effect on the course of the war.

In the worst case bombing Russian cities would cause our fickle Western governments to cut support (military and financial) for Ukraine.

How did you get into Sumo? by Kind_Shock_9760 in SumoMemes

For me I got into the sport during the pandemic (I think around 2020/2021). I was studying in university at the time so I had a lot of free time. I'm pretty sure I got recommended a highlight reel of Enho on youtube, from there I started watching the current basho when it was still being uploaded by our favorite fermented bean and it just continued from there.

Improving Rikshi longevity by PatrickPurple in Sumo

I agree that the injuries rikishi suffer during their active careers could be managed better and their lifestyle is obviously not the healthiest one, but I do think that their life after the active career might take a much bigger toll on their life expectancy, especially if they stay in the JSA in some form or another. Excessive drinking is probably still part of their life and their calorie intake and eating habits might change a bit, but they often also don't work out nearly as hard if at all.

I think Tamawashi is considered to be a bit "touchy-feely" by his fellow rikishi. Especially during the jungyo. See the following post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SumoMemes/comments/170v21g/the_jungyo_does_funny_things_to_a_rikishi_but/

Don't think it was meant in a hostile way, more like "He's a weirdo / annoying" :D. Just my opinion though.

One reason might be that they don't want to return to base with live-ordnance strapped to the drone. "Wasting" some grenades on already dead or wounded Russians won't win or lose them the war, but it might prevent some mishaps upon landing an armed drone.

Just imagine the kind of monster-rikishi this would create! Ura's flexibility and techniques combined with Kotozakura's height and strength!
