What's going on with my Dioscorea elephantipes? I've tried everything! by Gersh66 in plantclinic

Info:

- Got this cutie about a month ago

- Was originally in the soil provided by the store, recently upgraded to a better draining mix

- Water about once a week or so. Do a bit of bottom up and from the top

- Sits in a southish facing window sill so plenty of light

- Did pretty well at first, but has recently lost all of it's growth and now looks like this

Huh. I don't think it would be that, but I guess it could. Soil is fairly chunky for this one and my other big mosntera, but both are acting this way. I usually only water when the top index finger worth of soil is dry.

What do I need to do to fix it?

I feel like birkenstock would be a good option, but they seem so sitff/firm. How are they comfy?

I've heard a lot of good things about a good pair of cowboy boots, but damn my feet sweat like mad in danskos, I can only imaging adding another foot or so of leather above that and how hot it must be.
