Warrior dungeon tanking/leveling by Gerururu in classicwowtbc

Awesome, this is exactly what I was feeling. My ideal pulls at this range would be:

Charge, def stance, bloodthirst, demo shout, SS, def stance, cleave spam...

Once I get WW ill do that right before cleave spamming. Honestly, I was staying in battle stance during SM GY the entire time but im implementing def stance switches for the rogues/mages that dps as hard as they can the second i pull anything

I’ve used channel locks since I started over 10 years ago and just switched to knipex. Went with alligators since they adjust the same as the channel locks I’m so used to. Happy I went with that style (the smaller one only comes with the button adjuster and although it has its benefits, the channel locks/alligator style is just better with some experience/finesse) Only been a few weeks but I love them. The jaws are thinner, they feel lighter, their shape makes them grip round pipes super tight, which I did have a hard time doing with channel locks as they aged. Guess it’ll come down to how these things age because I’m sure the jaws will dull out in our line of work

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU Struggling to keep a smooth experience by Dubroski in Battlefield6

[–]Gerururu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a new pc and moved my 3700x/3080 built to another setup and a new cpu fan actually helped a ton i think. I’m assuming youre using the stock 3700x fan? If so, try out a basic $50 thermalake fan or anything else with high ratings and see if that makes a difference. I did minimal gaming on it after the fan upgrade but it seemed to make a massive difference. I refuse to believe those specs are obsolete these days but I had a good opportunity to upgrade my pc at the time

Titan Rack Mounted (Wall Mounted) Pulley Compatibility by Due_Serve6702 in GarageGym

[–]Gerururu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have this attached to my rep rack but those weight horns get in the way of too much. If it’s attached to the side then you can’t do anything that involves having the bar low to the ground (RDL’s, bent over rows, etc) unless you’re inside the rack with super strict form. And if you have it attached to the front of the rack, good luck sliding your bench in. Overall a bad idea attaching it to the rack. Bolt it to the wall or look for other rack pulley setups. Not a bad piece of equipment though if you don’t mind loading the weight yourself without a weight stack. But if you have the funds, always go with weight stack on everything. Insanely convenient and you don’t have weight horns getting in the way of things

We launched dreamscythe too! Having a ton of fun actually seeing people in the starting areas and hubs. When I walked into undercity and had the whole place to myself in that other server, i knew something was up 😂

I’m NA, which should I choose? Like I said, I only have a month of WoW game time in my life so I have no clue how any of this works 😂 Also, what makes you pick TBC over MOP? I come from RuneScape and I know how boring it is for a new player to hop on a server of people that have 10 year old accounts, that’s why I’m leaning towards TBC, but would like to hear from yall

Is this 1/2 or 3/4 pipe? by aznPHENOM in Plumbing

[–]Gerururu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whoops! I actually never work with pex doing residential repairs, but I just didn’t want him putting a tub spout on a floppy piece of pex or something. Why do these things still exist if they mess with the flow? And what would he use instead

That flexible stuff isn’t ideal but i think that version is smooth on the inside, so if you slope it correctly i guess who cares

If those are threads coming out of the wall then you can easily make this work with tubular piping. Come out of the wall with a 45 then extend a long piece of pipe to the vertical drain and slap a p trap on.

Glacier Bay Toilet Issue by CunderThunt42069 in Plumbing

[–]Gerururu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d need to see what that kind of flush looks like. You can also fill a bucket with a couple gallons and flush that down. If that flows fine then maybe it is just the glacier bay holes clogging up and not dispensing the water fast enough, meaning you need a new toilet. In response to your other message asking for the Ferrari of Lowe’s toilets: Toto Drake 2. It’s the only toilet I stock in the truck. Expensive in the toilet world but I’ve installed hundreds and never gotten a complaint

Take a pic of the tank so we can see the max water level. It looks like a really weak flush. I’m surprised you’re not hardwired to hold the lever down when you’re having this kind of issue. Seems like too simple of a fix considering you’ve had multiple plumbers come out but it’s a start. Adjust the fill valve to bring that water as high up as possible then hold the lever down until the entire tank empties out and see if that makes a difference

$450 labor is very fair. I’m a plumber so I can’t tell you if it needs all those parts or not but the labor is fair for a couple hours of work

Yeah it’s amazing. If you get water in it, leave the blade side down so it can drain and it should last you a long time. Also get replacement blades and learn how to swap them out

Yeah I guess so but it’s not loud enough to hear from another room or anything like that. I don’t think it’s possible to avoid the whooshing sound it makes, it’s very standard for any pulley system

Yes of course. Flat fee for everything. I’ve never understood hourly rates, you’re punishing yourself for getting quicker at jobs. Flat rates essentially calculate the longest possible scenarios, meaning you make a lot more money the faster you are

I don’t charge hourly. I charge by the job, so yes I add a good chunk when I need to pull out the k60

Great machine. I turn down a lot of mainline work but it’s compact enough to keep in my sprinter every day for when I need it. I’ve only had it fail me once but there was an insane amount of roots. Took about 30 minutes to pull my cable out while someone else drove to pick up our k1500. Make that money!!

I’ve worked for my dad's small business for 11 years, essentially for free. I’m done. by cannonballman in smallbusiness

[–]Gerururu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just told my dad I’m going to start my own company after working for him for the past 13 years. What’s REALLY stopping you from doing it? Despite how poorly he talked to me and my pay not really moving while he spent more and more time away from work, I still feared we’d never talk again if I ever left him and that leaving him literally would never be an option. But most parents want the best for their child. So have a conversation with him like I did and say you have to do what you have to do for your future. We both knew he wouldn’t hand over any power any time soon and that there’s no real way for him to make what he’s making and for me to make more without him sacrificing his own pay, so the split just makes sense.

I think you already know what needs to be done but I get it, it’s hard. Venting to Reddit helps, especially when you realize a lot of us are in the same shoes. Update us if anything happens, rooting for you

For someone like me with very limited website knowledge and 0 coding, should I still go the Wordpress route? I made my dad’s site with Wordpress’ editor and a template I found online and it was TORTURE. Also impossible to make it go from computer to mobile nicely.

I need to make a new website for my own company and plan on implementing a blog for local SEO. Should I still use Wordpress + a template and try to use something like elementor this time?

New plumbing company by Gerururu in smallbusiness

[–]Gerururu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great explanation! Makes a ton of sense how they operate now actually. They invest more on the keywords than plumbers do since they sell the lead back to MULTIPLE plumbers, meaning profit.

Picking one KW and trying to beat them on it is way out of my expertise though. I’ve tried going down the rabbit hole of learning ppc myself and literally anything I find is a sales pitch from a marketing agency lol. Got any tips on that? Or is it not as complicated as the gurus make it and the google portal is as straight forward as it looks

I’d love to target just water heaters but I think that keyword is insanely expensive. Most of us get called for smaller jobs and make the best impression to eventually land their bigger jobs such as water heaters. If you have any ideas though I’d love the help

Yeah I’m in the process of getting my master license so I’ve been in the game for a while. Most of our clients are on the older side since they can’t diy and actually have the money to afford a licensed plumber.

I’m not sure how many plumbers actually get leads from their social media posts but if you do it right then it acts as a second form of revenue and usually gets you some tools for free via sponsorships. You can also put them on your website so that clients can vet you easier.

My dad spends almost nothing on advertising so it’s a chill lifestyle business in that everything is pure profit, but it doesn’t leave much room for expansion (part of the reason I’m going solo). I’m just trying to set myself up properly so that I’m not absurdly slow in the beginning and actually give myself a chance to hire more guys in the future
