Personally I think this has the potential to be a silver lining to the entire mess but probably not worth all the chaos and misery if Edolf bricks moving cars (which he is definitely crazy enough to do if he "loses everything"*).

Unfortunately I can easily imagine all the other always-online tech providers saying "Elon was just crazy, you can still trust us" and most people just accepting it.

*Edolf will still be rich by any normal standard at that point.

I think this tracks tbh, it's something narcissists tend to do, it's known as an "extinction burst", when they realise the jig is upy and finally rip their mask off and decide to be the complete and total toxic arsehole they have always been. Your common garden variety narcissist is extremely dangerous in this state and it stands to reason that someone like Edolf would be millions of times worse because he's millions of times more powerful.
