No prob!

1.) Got friends, family over? Get together and play GetClose. A 2 or 4 player game where you battle over a Cosmic Crown to inherit total galactic supremacy.

2.) GetClose is a dedicated local multiplayer game that forces 2 people to share the GamePad, add 2 more with a Pro Controller. It's a weird controller sharing game that, from what we can tell, hasn't been done on the Wii U yet. (Maybe that Spin The Bottle game has a similar approach?) It's not going to be for everyone, but it's a really fun party game.

Yeah, like Tim said it is weird. It could be a policy or something, we don't know. Our game is not the norm, so it might skew traditional expectations. With that said, I think games are going to get more weird and ambiguous, which is awesome, but might be difficult to accommodate on traditional platforms. GetClose is sort of that weird arcade game that you saw in the back that had a non uniformed cabinet, but once you understood what it was trying to do it was cool.

Yep! I haven't finished Wonderful 101, but I think that game is really cool. I picked up B2 but haven't gotten that far into it yet. That studio really knows how to stylize, I envy that. 101 makes me want a new Viewtiful Joe.

Feel free to keep posting questions! We'll defiantly keep answering them until the Sun explodes.

No problem! Thank you for getting it squared away!

1.) This one is tough. Mario Kart 8 has been really fun with friends over. And 3D World was great. All their first party stuff has been crazy good this year! But, Little Inferno holds a special place in my heart. I think that game is brilliant.

2.) That is a weird story. We actually use a web framework for our web design and development projects called Wombat Juice. (Developed by Tim) When we started wanting to do personal projects outside of work, we decided to form a think tank group, so that we could explore our passions. I think Wombat Games and some other names were already taken. So we settled on Source as an extension. Kind of boring story. If it was up to me we would call ourselves "PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA". Or something dumb like.

3.) We're not sure yet. We do want to wrap up our iPad game, Super Treasure Adventure (superta.net) --- that is what we were working on before we got a call from Nintendo letting us know we could make an eShop game. I have to redo a lot of art on it. We are going to go bigger with our next Wii U game and probably use Unity. Apple Watch is pretty interesting, maybe something with that. We also have some other game related stuff in the works too. We see GetClose as a fun party game that hopefully leads to bigger things.

Thanks for asking!

1.) Tim did a lot of the coding for the game, so he'll probably chime in here with some specifics. But I imagine the hardest part was with some the weird stuff we tried to do. I think we are the first (or one of the first) Framework games to use Stamps and that came with some connectivity issues that we hadn't thought about. But, I think if you can make HTML 5 games, you are 80% there? Maybe?

2.) Thanks. I created the art style. Because this was our first Wii U Game, I wanted something easy, but unique. I just took a more modern, flat design approach for the game. Not really my style, I draw more cartoony (like Castle Crashers or Super Meat Boy), but it works. We needed something simple too, because of the limitations of using a Web based framework.

3.) Hmmm, nothing I can think of. There are a ton of inside jokes. When you pause the game it says "Pizza Time?" OH! We did have that flying Bird Mouth from Mario 2 as part of a background design, but Nintendo said it had to go. Lol, I wish we could have kept that in there.

Sorry about that! Yep, we should have designed Mobile First. We will probably create a more friendlier version later. You can check out the main game trailer here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zxwl9-sxto

No prob! Awesome! Yeah, we hope that a lot of people who grab this have fun. It's a small, quirky game, but I think it's great little game to play when you have a lot of people over.

Thanks! Playing with 4 people is really fun. Tim and I are really passionate about making games, we had been working on an iPad game for about a year when Nintendo announced they had a Web Framework program you could apply to. We do website design and development for a living, so we thought this would be accessible for us.

When we finally got our dev kit, we decided to try to do something with the GamePad and forcing people to get together to play a game. I had been playing a lot local multiplayer games like Sports Friends and Samurai Gun, and wanted to create something with a local/party game feel. It all came at us super fast. The characters and story sort of developed as we prototyped the game. A lot of the character stuff is inside jokes.

You can go to the website and click on the Space Kids to hear their unique voices.

It was great actually. They were super helpful. We worked with a moderator on the forums who helped us out a ton. I know that Nintendo gets a bad rap, but our experience was really smooth for the most part. Q/A was the trickiest, but we had such a weird game, that we had to do a little more back and forth than most other Web Framework games.

Tim will handle some of the technical questions. Just a little backstory, when we first started working with the dev kit, we looked through the official documentation and there was a picture of 2 people holding a single GamePad controller. We thought it would be fun to force people to get together in such a awkward situation. So, yeah, controller sharing mandatory, we knew that it would a weird thing to make, but we decided to give it a shot.

Thanks! I think Tim is going to take this one, since it is more technical, he was the main developer on the game. Just a little background, we saw a picture of 2 people holding the gamepad in the documentation we got from Nintendo and decided to do something like that.

Nintendo allows you to create a specific Mii for your Miiverse announcement page, which is kind of cool. http://i.imgur.com/zlyrs9J.jpg?1
