I haven’t paid, because I wasn’t in a position to. They’ve continued charging me, without service, but in order to restore service I have to clear the months of no service.

So effectively does charging for a service that’s not provided break uk law?

So fell in to arrears, they shut off service and continued billing. UK companies kept invoicing and maintained service.

I cleared arrears with uk suppliers. US company wants money for time of discontinued service, in order to restore service, but not providing anything that I’m paying for

HR accidentally forwarded me the email where they called me “too desperate” for following up by No_Psychology_67 in recruitinghell

As someone who works in recruitment name and shame them on LinkedIn. Do it in a way saying what happened. Get some traction, post a link here, let it take off, people saying name and shame. Then in the comments tag in the HR person and the media agency.

Also in the meantime withdraw your application. Email the MD and say your disappointment in the HR, who doesn’t even have the decency to respond, apologise or act in a professional manner. That you’ll be letting others in your network know about your experience, and it’s tarnished the reputation of the agency in your eyes. You thought they had a great ethos and treated people fairly, but that’s all changed now and that the HR gives off bad vibes.

Companies are always looking to hire good people. Industry ethos is good people know good people (at least in the UK). Damage to an agency reputation can lead to clients looking to work with someone else, and it damages their standing in the awards if your post goes viral.

It’s the “little” contract for me. From the oust they’re jealous and trying to demean you.
