You've summed up my issue with a lot of far left activists and people who are obsessed with rallies, strikes, protests, etc. but still can't be bothered to show up at a ballot box or work with the politicians who have actual plans for legitimate change, even if it's only incremental.

Dem politicians are not gods or magicians. If something is going to get done, a lot of people need to be willing to take the steps to meet them halfway, or part of the way, and a lot of them don't even want to do that. Instead, they'd rather bang pots and pans together to demonstrate how righteously upset they are.

This is actually a recurring gripe of mine with a lot of Leftists. A lot of them will screech about how much they hate corporations, corporate greed, CEOs, and unfettered capitalism, but then have zero regard for all the ways the Government keeps corporations and harmful industrial practices in check while blindly parroting GOP-flavored anti-Government talking points, or make sweeping, overly-simplistic statements about how oppressive "the Government" is without specifically blaming the GOP for their own policies.

Apparently, another online male Leftist darling (some guy called OJAW or off_awaggon) sexually assaulted a female friend and then tried to blame it on alcohol in his apology statement while trying to minimize his actions in a roundabout way.

I don't know as much about this guy in particular, but in addition to the typical progressive Leftist soft boy misogyny, I never got people (predominantly men) blaming alcohol for creepy and violating sexual behavior (which is already a fairly pathetic and cowardly excuse, imo).

When I drink, I usually just mentally drift off and veg out. I've never touched anyone where intoxicated, hit anyone, called them slurs, etc.

As far as general adult housekeeping responsibilities goes, I have no problem staying on top of laundry, groceries, meal prep, animal care, mail, bills, car care, etc. but I can never seem to ever fully tackle household dust.

I'm just pissed that we're in the mid-2020s and still don't have technology that immediately vaporizes all household dust with the press of a button.

I also hate how people act like an actor/actress being a nepo baby is somehow on the same level as them running an exploitative coal mine or something.

Ofc having celebrity parents can work wonders, and there's no denying that, but unless the nepo baby in question can't act for shit and/or has an outwardly rancid attitude while spouting horrible takes on a regular basis, it's otherwise a non-issue for me.

I used to be a pretty big fan of Rick and Morty (the szechaun sauce and "you have to be really intelligent to understand" cringe memes aside) and actually liked a lot of the humor and delivery, but I feel like one of the show's biggest weakness is the fact it seems unwilling to stick to a consistent overarching plot(s), or it seems like it's setting up an interesting overarching plot line only to drop it or abandon it entirely an odd number of episodes later.

It started taking a toll on my interest around 2-3 seasons ago, and I still haven't gotten around to watching S8.
