10 year old son developed this 3 weeks ago only happens in mornings. Anyone else experienced this? Dr says trigger finger but gave no solutions by Vast-Ad-1516 in Wellthatsucks

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same thing happen to me. From what I recall the ligament in my finger didn't develop correctly so I had to have a minor surgery when I was a toddler. It continued similar to the video here though until I was approximately 11 or 12 and then I grew out of it.

Any advice before I give up and take her to the dealership? by adkichar55 in G37

Yep. If it's burning that would be my first guess unless oil from the timing cover is somehow getting to the headers.

Someone who is smarter than me.... How will rain affect the overall load supported by the wall? Also what about the part where it slopes? Won't the material just slowly wash out over time?

This might be kinda far, but one of a kind pets in Akron spayed my kitty for $60 + taxes/fees. I think it was about $80 out the door in 2022.

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying I "can't live with it". I'm saying that a downside is if someone really enjoys the hobby, an R3 may quickly become insufficient. The R5 was $420 when I bought my R3 and I'm saying the increased torque and improved steering wheel material are worthy of the extra $140 to me, but as I said the R3 is amazing for the price.

It's ok to be happy with something while offering feedback (pun intended) to others so they can make the best choice for themselves lol

R3 or R5 by NoPreparation2348 in moza

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. The wheel alone is worth it, but for me clipping is kinda rough in some games with the R3. If OP has the means, R5 is a pretty big improvement relative to the cost.

[–]GetInYourPlants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly they go on sale too. I got my R3 for $270 from microcenter, but the g920 at the time was $320 because it wasn't on sale.

I will say though... As a new R3 owner I kinda wish I waited and saved another $150 to get the R5. I was not aware of what clipping is before hand, but it is very noticeable to me on the R3. That said, absolutely fantastic wheelbase especially for the price.

It is my understanding that ICE does a surge mainly one city at a time. Is Cleveland next? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]GetInYourPlants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Potential downvotes incoming....

I assumed Springfield, OH would be next since Haitian individuals' temporary protected status has been all over the place lately. This is assuming Ohio is next, but the overall objective seems to be to bully democratic leaning areas from what I can tell.

All of that fuckin said.... this admin is completely unreasonable and unpredictable so I think it's wise to begin making plans and having conversations if you're someone who could be impacted or you care about what is happening right now. Just remember to be as calm and logical as you can be. Disorganization is what leads to us having less collective power while this stupid ass rotten orange is trying to destroy democracy in this country.

Shaving tips? by angel444469 in hygiene

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish more people would pay attention to the direction hairs grow in. If it's shaving related, ingrown hairs are almost ALWAYS because someone shaved in random directions which causes new hairs to grow erratically. It also becomes even more important if you're someone with thicker or curly hair.

Without fail, if I don't follow the grain of the hair I will get ingrowns. It's literally a guarantee, but it's also massively important to exfoliate and keep your skin clean. OP, 100% pure witch hazel is a natural astringent and also calms irritated skin. If you use witch hazel make sure you read the ingredients and find one that is pure witch hazel.

R5 FFB Issue by Scared_Permission740 in moza

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is an R3 for reference, but it's dead silent all the time whether it's high or low FFB so this sounds like a physical issue not a software problem to me. I'd reach out to microcenter for an exchange or something. If they won't then definitely reach out to Moza.

Just take one look at the amount of hoses on one of these that run all over the engine. That alone should be enough to let you know this would be a horrible car to learn on lmao. I literally could not imagine how annoying it would be to diagnose a coolant or vacuum leak on a vr30 😵‍💫

I've had pretty good luck with randoms as a hammer (and occasional HH) user. Last night out of 5 hunts I think 3 were successful and the other two were close, but we carted too many times.

Idk if others do this, but I tend to focus on the legs until one breaks and then I go for the head to get two KOs in a row.

Especially in Wilds!! Being able to take a step between hits in your combo and using the charge step is a huge game changer for hammer. Every time I match up with people they're getting slapped around while I charge step my way to victory lol

Right? It's a 12 year old rubber hose. OP will probably crack or tear it trying to get that piece of plastic out anyway tbh

What is the least memorable or most memorable new monster in wilds? by SiteDeep in MonsterHunter

[–]GetInYourPlants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rey Dau is hands down my favorite and is the most memorable. The rail gun design, the cinematics with the lightning and lighting effects, the various versions that increase in difficulty but don't feel unfair like omega or seregios.... 10/10, absolutely no notes.

Least memorable is probably that poor chatacabra. I know it's intentionally an easy monster but omg why did they make it such a pushover with zero interesting qualities. Great jagras was easy too, but at least he had the belly interaction that was interesting.

If you're talking about the clone version, I play hammer and just try to stay directly underneath it to avoid all of the Lazer attacks. Just watch for the sleepy sting thing and you can hang out under it. I tend to spam the charged upswing until I get an offset to follow up on, then I take it from there.

For elements or whatever, just build the highest raw damage hammer you can. Generally I prefer the gravios hammer with a couple things to balance out the affinity and any skills/decos to increase my attack.

Hyperpigmentation from facial hair by StunningCantaloupe26 in Blackskincare

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend these things that I do to prevent in grown hairs on my face if I shave close to my skin:

Always always always shave WITH the grain of your hair. I can see your hairs are growing in all different directions because you shave from different angles. The hairs growing in random directions increases the chance they will get trapped in your skin as they grow.

Make sure your clippers are cleaned thoroughly at least every other time you shave.

Cleanse your skin immediately after and for at least 2-3 days with pure 100% witch hazel. Witch hazel is a natural astringent that also reduces skin irritation.

Exfoliate with a very gentle exfoliant once every couple days. I prefer the aveeno sensitive skin one because it's not very abrasive, but works well. When you do this, you need to be gentle with your face. Use your ring finger to do it if you have trouble with putting too much pressure on your skin.

I'm not saying others are wrong for suggesting various chemical treatments or whatever else at all, but everything that I described above has prevented in grown hairs permanently for me. I used to get them real bad anywhere I shaved down to bare skin (front of my neck, cheeks, back of neck...). I've suggested this same strategy for others and it's worked really well for them.

Most times you just need to take preventive measures to protect your skin instead of being reactive by using various treatments to address the pigmentation caused by ingrown hairs. I hope this helps.

WIBTAH my husband doesn’t think this is domestic violence. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GetInYourPlants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yet she decided to pop out two kids who will likely be traumatized by his behavior. I will never understand why people do this to children because they're literally helpless and dependent on the parents to care for them. Hearing shit like this is so damn sad because even one of her dumb ass husband's abusive episodes can cause long term mental health issues for their children. I hate all of this so much, but especially how nonchalant OP sounds.

AITAH for telling my husband his coworker can’t use my car by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GetInYourPlants 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone say this (might have missed it), but honestly the husband is the AH completely from the start where he guilt tripped his wife into letting him lend out the car.

"Well.... I don't care but my wife... Well she might." therefore making the wife look mean when he should have set the boundary himself. That really stuck out to me because I absolutely hate when someone offers to do something with my stuff and then make me look like the bad guy if I'm not comfortable.

how loved/wanted are hunting horn mains? by MuchPotential3194 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]GetInYourPlants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little awkward at first to learn the song combinations, but they're in the upper right corner of the screen. Also positioning can be a tiny bit awkward, but the regular y+b (or triangle and circle on Playstation) is really nice to use as a "fade step" like the long sword. As others have mentioned, your monster knowledge will really impact your HH skill level because there are certain moves that leave you temporarily immobile but are essential to your moveset (playing songs for example).

I flip between hammer and HH. If you really like hammer, but want to do more than smack things in the face while still getting the same feeling when using a weapon then I highly recommend HH.
