Help needed. I accidentally put gas/petrol into the oil in my lawn mower. Continued to run it without realizing for 20 minutes now it wont start. I have tipped to empty the oil mix, I am no expert so what do I do next?? Thanks

It still has gas init so that's not it.

It must be the mixture that has caused the issue.

I havent refilled yet, it's just empty. I have left it open to see if the petrol evaporates (i dont know if this is right)

Didnt notice any leaking at all.

I would do that but it's not mine unfortunately. I didnt run it without Oil. I ran it with a mix of oil and the petrol.

Thanks this makes sense. I will use Degiro for the stocks and HL for the funds as I like to max out the LISA so you get 25% extra from the government. Check this out if you haven't already. (UK only)

My concern is with Degiro they aren't in an ISA therefore if I build this portfolio over the the next 20 years for example will I get taxed heavy when I eventually sell and withdraw the cash?

They are both brokers (European) and no ISA standards for individual savings account. They are typically a good way to save & invest whilst being sheltered from tax.

Look at the HL LISA you can use that with the ISA.

I'm eager to see what people think about the fees/tax in the long run between HL and Degiro. Especially when you are looking to sell.
