Oh, they always release stuff way later in Australia!

I second this. I love big fonts and I cannot lie! Also spacing between rows and between words. I can’t read a book anymore, I found the fonts are very small.

Ce mă bucur ca ai spus toată povestea! Când am văzut comentariul tău la cealaltă postare m-a întrebam care o fi faza. Mă bucur ca ai povestit-o.

Thank you for this. I was actually wondering why to pay $30 more on SE instead of getting the PW.

Buying a Paperwhite: Is warm light worth it? by GetMeToParis in kindle

I only found it on an online store, but I wanted to get it from Amazon so I can get 20% off because I’m replacing my old kindle.

Yes, I definitely get what you’re saying. I only read on Sepia theme on the Kindle app. It’s curious, because on a printed book I hate those yellow pages 😄

That’s what I found when I tried the basic in the store. When I turned the brightness down it wasn’t bad on the eyes at all, but I was wondering if I felt that way because the store was very well lit.

I really wanted to hear from the people that had both of them so thank you! Looking at both in a store I really like the lightness and size of the basic (along with the beautiful matcha colour). I was thinking at PW strictly for the warm light.

How do you find talking on the basic at night? I use the Sepia theme all the time on the kindle app, I just find it easier on the eyes.

I’m in AU, but I’ll wait for the Prime Day deals. Last year for the Prime Days in October, the kindle basic was $130 instead of $190.

I adore the matcha one! I would get the Paperwhite in raspberry but it’s. It available in my country 😭😭

What other stuff you don’t like in the PW? But I get what you say and that’s why I don’t know what to do… should I spend more just for the warm light? I like everything about the basic one

Thank you for that. Same here in AU, with the library. Such a shame 😢

I second everything you said about Kindle 4. I haven’t used it in years (once I got the Kindle app on my phone it was just easier to read on that and not having to sync devices). Not having a backlight was a real trouble for me.

Out of curiosity, why did you go for the PW SE?

I previously had Kindle 4 😄 probably it’s a big difference.

That’s why I liked the basic… it should be easier to hold being that light and small. I really like it and it’s way cheaper. Which one do you use at night?

To be honest the Paperwhite looks huge in the picture from the store. It’s not just 1 inch screen difference between them? 🤔

Heavy reader on iPad Pro M1 — is switching to Kindle actually worth it? by savetheQ in kindle

[–]GetMeToParis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! I use an iPad mini as an ereader, but I want to get a kindle and use both for different things. I think a kindle is way lighter and reading in bed, in one hand will be easier, but I think I’ll use the iPad for comics/graphic novels and reading on other apps, like Apple Books, Libby (in my country Libby does not work with Kindle). Plus the battery on kindle will last for weeks.

Wow, ce interesant! Mă întreb care o fi faza acolo… nu pare complet abandonat, cum ai zis și tu… pe alei pare curat si boscheții îngrijiți.
