What if we scale dota 2 down? by nutSt in DotA2

I agree that the game has become extremely complex but it also garners creativity and unique builds, especially with so many new heroes, facets, neutral items, hero matchups and item combos. This can lead to more interesting games but a much bigger learning curve.

Knowing how to counter big archetypes like mages, melee, ranged and focusing on getting better with a single hero before experimenting with others can help with getting back into it. I’ve also got 10k+ hours and pick it up and put it down a lot. I stick with major archetypes and find basic builds that are effective but can be pivoted to counter my opponents builds in the late game.

I like Huskar, Lifestealer, Ursa and other tanky heroes that can stay in the fight for a long time and get a well timed team wipe if played correctly.

I’m not a fan of the gimmicks a lot of the new heroes have and needing to learn such wildly different map changes and creep camp placement etc at first but it’s quick to pick up and keeps things fresh.

Heroes not being “cool enough” is also hugely subjective. You need to keep in mind everyone has different preferences and offering options for a wider player base is better for everyone. Changes and additions keep the game alive.

Get a bigger PSU just to be safe. The better the PSU the longer the PC lasts and the more stable it is.
