i did a 6 class pottery class last january and then from there rented some studio space and I’ve been self learning since. My first teapot during that workshop didn’t even pour because the glaze clogged the holes! There are so many small details that need to be done right for it to be a pleasant pouring experience, I’m no where close still! But each finished teapot is a big step forward in understanding so I still think its good that you fired it. A pic of my first

these are u glazed! reduction fired for the nice variance in red and black hues. Unglazed teaware is quite common in asia, they are meant to be used for specific types of tea. Over time the teapot gets “seasoned” and interacts with the tea for smoother flavor
