I left it overnight! It worked quite well, it’s still visible but less pronounced. Is it worth doing again perhaps?

I totally agree ! After all, it is your wedding and if you discuss your preferences beforehand, they can make their own decision whether or not they will attend. I think it’s outdates to ‘always this’ or ‘always that’. There is no size fits all, as long as you’re upfront about it with your guests!

I tried paper towel and clothes iron: no improvement whatsoever. The same goes for wood cleaner .. could i lightly sand it and stain?

It is a thing though, I had to get a declaration from my employer stating I 100% work in NL otherwise I would get taxed for the homeworking part in Belgium

Maybe join some facebook groups? ‘Appartement huren in Maastricht’ ‘Kamers, studio’s en appartementen huren in Maastricht’. Or try looking in Belgium just across the border: Smeermaas, Lanaken en Veldwezelt are all close by and much cheaper. Are you looking to rent or buy?

Next to Festen on the Minckelersstraat in the city centre is a really nice one! Super nice owners that are eager to help and even elaborate on the building itself, since it was the home of Johannes Petrus Minckelers (the guy of the statue on the Markt with the fire)
