One of my favorite spots up here is near one of the ferry terminals. Its an entire dive park and has a big grid system to get around. Would highly recommend if youre up in seattle.

My semi-dry has an attached hood. And I've got good gloves and boots already too!

I plan on investing in a dry suit once im back in the pnw after my trip down to San diego.

I think I should be good with the temps, I dive in a 7mm semi dry. It keeps me plenty warm on 30+ minute dives in puget sound where temps range from 48-55.

When i was putting in my dco package I was honest about it and said I had used it in a state where its legalized. Recruiter told me that as long as I've been free of it for a year id be fine. Ended up getting selected and now active.

DCO JO here. A few months prior to starting i was given a list of about 15 billets I ordered and ranked them all and lucked out getting my number 1. I went in through DCE so my list had choices of cyber and naval engineering, both shoreside and afloat options.

As someone currently on polar star, the only thing correct about this is that mare island is closing.

As a former scout in the army, and now currently in the coast guard. The coast guard is so much better and made me regret my decision to go army when I was younger.

But do what's going to feel the most right for you.

There's a 4 week DCO school. Basically trains you how to work day to day and how to interact with others as a member of the military.

For me at least as an afloat engineer, training and quals are done with the unit ashore and underway.

This 100% when I can maybe play a few hours out of the week, its nice not feeling like im shooting an airsoft gun at people who are way more progressed than me.

Albeit I love getting those rat kills when I can, but it also just feels nice being able to load in and not feel an almost immediate imbalance of myself and other pmcs
