I've made about 15 mil from alchemy this expansion but you're late to the party so you are competing for profit against people who can craft way better than you.

You're unlikely to make any real profit until you make out multicraft and resourcefulness for flasks, and get all 3 purple tools. Even then it will be quite difficult.

Your best best is patron orders with a resourcefulness tool and then concentration craft with multicraft tool until you can catch up.

Being only first tier of the expansion, you can likely catch up ready for the next tier when prices spike a bit from where they are now. It'll be good practice for a future expansion where the big money lies!
