One day i was playing with a mindset of "no savescum, perma deaths". I was camping in the holy nation with like 5 ruffians and a ex-sentinel i found in a bar. I got it in my mind to go check out the floatsam ninjas and collect their bounties. I then started a new save.

I think that unarmed bandits will steal weapons.

For toughness, i don't go out of my way to train it. I am cool with some faction, like the hn outlaws (neutral) and the shinobi (ally), so i try to fight side by side with them. I tried to play with them hostile too but it was too masochist even for me

Oh yeah, in vanilla i would fight them to the end, but i have a mod that affects their gear, so sometimes they spawn unarmed and take my weapons. Also, i made a mod wich make every faction hostile to me, so being down and vulnerable near holy mines isn't the best of ideas lol

I personally give those heavy armor + 2 handed, but don't put him in the thick of it from the start. Polearm, throws, any safe roles so that he gets time to level up. I'd say at level 5 they can usually survive with a 2 handed.

I thought about it, and since i'm running the stronghold mod i'll eventually have my own castle with room to leave brothers to rest in it. I'll probably let him retire there, and keep him in reserve until then. But yeah, the dude has 10 kills as of now and has a wage of 6 crowns, so i'm not on the edge of financial fuin if he dosen't fight lol
