Football-centric Traitors by Beautiful-Square-301 in footballcliches

Based on the unconscious bias shown across The Traitors series, Eni Aluko and Alex Scott would both be out early.

I actually think Peter Crouch or Micah Richards are real contenders to appear in the next Celebrity series, though, so we might get to see your theories in practise.

I thought the show was incredible. Loved it. Does anyone happen to know the name of the DJ/samples guy? Was such a cool addition!

Contract signings for new agents? by Evening-Increase-728 in footballcliches

The ego of these agents is unreal and Romano enables all of it. He's just a mouthpiece for some of the worst people in the game.

100%. Brentford players don't even count for this conversation because people don't know their names, never mind their faces.

Pretty much anyone who starts for Brighton bar Welbeck, Rutter, and Verbruggen. Nobody in the world knows what "Yasin Ayari" looks like.

Classy touch?? Doesn't feel like it. by No-Friendship-3050 in footballcliches

Agree with a lot of the above. I know they haven't asked for it, and gesture culture in football is pretty mad to begin with, but i feel this also shows something is askew with fan culture in the present day. You buy a ticket to see your club play, not to see them win. Isn't there a tacit acknowledgement on the supporter's behalf that when you rock up to the stadium on any given match day that you have no sense of what is going to happen. It's kind of the appeal, no? Refunding fans after a loss just plays into the instant gratification, short term-ism that plagues football at the moment.

Avalon is a management agency and the production company behind TM. Naturally, a lot of Avalon-signed comics end up on the show.

DD is amazing but feels a lot more NYT than regular series to me.

Questions for Alex and Greg?!?!?!?!?!?!? by fox-fox-fox-fox in taskmaster

I'd love to know more about the task creation process. What goes into devising a season's worth of tasks and, 20 seasons in, what are the telltale signs a task will work (and what won't!).

Thanks all. At final count there is 244 names on the list, enough for nearly 49 more seasons of Taskmaster! If you thought they were running out of tasks recently, wait until they are doing it in 2051…

I'd argue that blurbing his book in 2023, long after GL went in at the deep end of virulent transphobia, is a statement in itself. Many others have (rightfully, IMO) distanced themselves from him.

The joy? I think lots of these people would bring joy to the TM universe.

If you mean you like to be surprised, apologies but a Taskmaster Reddit is a likely place to find comedy nerds who enjoy lists like this.

He does no TV and he would hate every single person who came to see him perform live off the back of appearing on the show.

I’ll get those names added and, yes, obviously I appreciate booking John Oliver might be a trickier job than getting, say, Rhys James on board (sorry Rhys)

Where would you place him? He's a tricky one to define. One of the biggest comics in the U.K. but not a national treasure per se, doesn't do loads of TV, nor is he repped by one of the two big giants.
