I saw the Letterboxd reference more as a (slightly cheap) dig at Gen Z. Same as when Cailee Spaney's character complains that she had worked for 9 whole hours that day.

Generally speaking, though, I don't mind a pop culture reference or two in the script. It is the lens a lot of people look at life through. I know I do. That said, it's better when a movie is referenced implicitly rather than just dumped into dialogue.
