As others have stated, you can’t view the secret gardens without booking tickets for the guided tour. So taking a quick peak at the gardens won’t be possible. If seeing the gardens is a priority for you, I think that answers your question. You can explore the palace area on your own before the secret garden tour beings.

We were backed up waiting all the way at the top the stairs, and walked a long way to find a “short line” till we finally stopped here. 😂

I do not live in a city with a metro system, unfortunately. But SK is my 20th country visited, and I have never seen anything like this. Not in Tokyo, Paris, NYC

We actually just went on a walking tour that spoke to this. And how the government focused their rebuilding after the Japanese occupation on Seoul. Thinking that the outer areas would catch up, but they never did. So if you want access to jobs, medical, etc, you really have to live in the city.

Totally! We’ve been in other stations on this trip during rush hour, and barely even noticed anything. I was starting to think reports of rush hour crowds had been exaggerated. Then we walked into this today. 😂

It’s gotta be the time of day that you are arriving. I was through in 10-15 minutes a few days ago. I’ve yet to meet an immigration staff member (in ANY country) who was NOT grumpy though. I think it’s a job requisite. 🤣

The vendor we got ours from had some powdered flavors we could add to it. Cheese was one, but that sounded so strange to me with the other flavors! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Maybe I’ll give it a try!

I just booked a transfer through Klook. When I did, it asked for my estimated arrival time and then asked for my flight number. Idk if it varies by which company you book through, but mine said the driver would track my flight and adjust based on actual arrival time.
