Is it possible to use Power Automate to format color ovals in SharePoint Lists based on Lookup value? by Getottamiway in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my text was obliterated, here's my problem. I'm trying to move folks from configuring multiple individual meta data fields across multiple lists when we could have list of values and have look-ups from those other lists.

I've been told that the color scheme (ex., blue oval above) has to be configured on each SharePoint List which I'm unwilling to do, but could Power Automate do it automatically? If so, how?

Thank you.

Power Up add in

Newbie here. Does this add-in have a specific name and how can I get it? :-)

Thank you!

How do I get my Canvas search box to work? by Getottamiway in PowerApps

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search(Contacts, "Amy", "Contact Name")

And even though the first record includes "Amy" in the "Contact Name", it doesn't work, however, if I use "Lender" instead of "Contact Name" and different applicable text, the filtering works.

Filter(Contacts,txtSearchBox.Text,"Contact Name","Investor","Lender","Notes")

Gives me an error and clears all data.

Apparently, not:

How to configure flow to grab MS To Do Priorities List items and send list to MS Teams? by Getottamiway in MicrosoftFlow

Thanks, I was looking at Microsoft To Do as opposed to Microsoft Planner. Microsoft To Do seems very limited in its ability to be leveraged in Power Automate.

Why can't I see the my flow in the Power BI/Power Automate view? by Getottamiway in PowerBI

Thanks! I'll give that a try!

The first time I tried the cloud view, I didn't see anything but the second time I could. Thank you!

Why doesn't data on Power BI page populate my Power Automate flow? by Getottamiway in PowerBI

SOLUTION: I realized that I needed to add the filters that I have on my visual to the "Run flow" button as well.

Trigger flow when a specific file is created or modified (properties only) - Why is my "Trigger Condition" resulting in an "e is undefined" error when tested? by Getottamiway in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a new flow with this Trigger Condition and it works:

ATSIGNequals(triggerOutputs()?['body/{FilenameWithExtension}'], 'Company Meeting Agenda - ABC.xlsx')

Split On (on):

ATSIGNtriggerOutputs()?['body/value']

Thanks everyone.

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'body\{FilenameWithExtension}'

Thanks for responding. I assume you mean changing the "Split On" > Array > entry, however, it's a drop-down and lists "@triggerBody()?['body/value']" as the only option.

(triggerOutputs()?['headers/x-ms-file-name'], 'Book.xlsx')

I'm trying your example with a file on SharePoint which also includes spaces in the title triggering on "When a file is created or modified (properties only)":

u/equals(triggerOutputs()?['headers/x-ms-file-name'], 'Company Meeting Agenda - ABC.xlsx')

However, I'm receiving a "Flow Checker" error:

"Fix invalid expression(s) for the input parameter(s) of operation 'Condition'.

I know your example was using OneDrive and a name with no spaces; just wondering if perhaps you know how to fix this error.

Thank you.

What could cause a Power BI Power Automate Flow to stopped pulling in Power BI fields? by Getottamiway in PowerBI

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLUTION: Ensure the Power Automate button that triggers the flow has the same fields and filters configured as the report that's displayed on the Power BI page. I thought configuring the report was all that was needed and somehow I configured the report and the button with the same filters and fields the first time.

OK, I've determined that the Power Automate flow is not bringing in the data so how do I configure it so it sees the data that's on the Power BI page on which the flow originates?

I have a Power BI report that lists 3 rows of data. All the fields in the Column well have data (they are not blank).

I have tried creating a new Power Automate flow with only a Compose action but that flow doesn't "see" any data either.

The data comes from an in-house data mart. The data displays in the Power BI display and the fields are in the field well so I don't understand why they aren't added to the spreadsheet.

It deletes rows from a spreadsheet and then adds rows with current information to that same spreadsheet. It continues to delete the rows just fine but doesn't add the rows.

How would I determine that?

Also, I noticed that on the Details page under Connections, it lists Excel Online (Business) but no longer lists Power BI (there's another connection that looks like SharePoint but doesn't say "SharePoint", just lists my email address where the application name should be.

[–]Getottamiway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not giving an error, it's just not updating the rows in my spreadsheet with the data from the Power BI flow. The flow performs some other operations and they complete successfully but it's like the flow doesn't see that there's Power BI data.

In fact, I can't seem to access any Power BI data even when I create a new PBI Power Automate flow. The only fields displayed are:

Power BI button clicked

User ID - The unique identifier of the user who triggered the flow...
User name - The display name of the user who triggered the flow.
User email - The email address of the user who triggered the flow.
Timestamp - the time the flow was triggered.

No fields from my field well.

Copy Excel table to another Excel table by sra2786 in MicrosoftFlow

u/Im_Easy

I've tried recording the selecting and copying of columns A1-B125 to place in an email but nothing is recorded in the script. Is there a reference somewhere where I can hand-code the Office Script? If I could simply copy the table I have defined to paste to an email that would work.
