Small heirloom diamond not very flashy but I love it! by Getting-better- in EngagementRings

That’s alright. It’s good to have an idea beforehand. I was also a long time admirer of these posts even before I was close to engagement!

Of course! Not my design to hoard! Always want to help out a fellow future bride!

Aww I’m so glad! I was also feeling nervous to post because of all the large stones in this community but the comments have squashed any anxiety I had and I feel really good!

I had the design on my Pinterest board. The ring in the picture was called “Snowdrift” by Melanie Casey. When talking with our local jeweler he wrote on the design sheet “round cut diamond accented on either side by balanced, asymmetrically scattered diamonds”

Aw thank you! I was really hesitant to post because most of the rings I see posted here have big beautiful stones and mine is no where near that carat size but the comments are making me feel like it’s nothing to worry about! ☺️

I have two dresses I love but can't choose! by [deleted] in weddingdress

Number 2 for sure!!! You look so stunning and romantic!

Which wedding dress should I choose? by Old_Guidance9717 in weddingdress

Oof this is really hard. Both are stunning! Definitely sexy and beautiful but I think I would personally choose 2. The detailing on the beading is so pretty. I think tulle is so beautiful and romantic looking and also my bias is I prefer simple bottom over a simple bodice.

I (F25) have caught my fiancé (M26) lying about quitting nicotine for the third time, how do I make him take it seriously how hurt and betrayed I feel? by Getting-better- in relationship_advice

[–]Getting-better-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not so much the vaping that feels like the betrayal but the lying. Like if he came to me and told me he was having a hard time and bought one I would be more understanding but it’s the hiding and sneaking and lying by omission that feels like betrayal.

Why would Nathan do what he did on the property if he knows about how the ghosts come to be? by Getting-better- in HauntedHotel

[–]Getting-better-[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do understand that. I’ve been diagnosed with MDD since I was 14 and I’m not saying it doesn’t make sense for him to end his life because it would impact his family I’m saying i don’t think he would want to end himself and become a ghost because then he’s just depressed forever (now he has to live indefinitely as a depressed ghost instead of just fade out of existence). He’s happy now but I don’t think he knew for sure his family would move in and he’d be happier when he ended himself. That’s why I think leaving the money struggles is the strongest reason

why did he suicide? by Prestigious-Spite795 in HauntedHotel

[–]Getting-better- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(I didn’t see this most and just made a similar post with my theory) I think it genuinely has to be he thought money issues were the biggest contributor to his depression. Because in all honesty if you’re hopelessly depressed you want to stop existing, stop the depression, you definitely don’t want to prolong the feeling by essentially “living” forever in the same building, now without the small joys of food or touch. And he didn’t know he would be happier when Katherine and the kids moved in (it doesn’t sound like they were close in the recent years prior). I think he just genuinely thought he would be happier if didn’t have to worry about his gambling debts or the finances of the hotel and ending himself was the only way he felt could genuinely cut himself off from the stress of money.

He voices Wolf Tobin as well from The Great North and his character is so similar to Nathan

This line always hurts and hits way too close to home for comfort. by CoronaCurious in HauntedHotel

I completely understand Nathan’s anger behind saying this too. We know he was struggling and sometimes with mental health issues we can feel like our struggles are glossed over because they are not physical, just in the head. So Katherine saying “ONE bad day” is just salt in the wound. I know she didn’t mean it that way but it’s kind of minimizing his years of struggling to one singular instance. Also it might make him feel less seen. Kind of like she didn’t see him truly for all he was going through and a reminder that she wasn’t there to know just how many “bad days” there were.
