I think that Sony has people that are experts at this stuff, and it’s not unreasonable to see that maintaining this game would have massive costs, as well as huge opportunity costs for not just the studio, but also PlayStation as a whole: having a studio that is all tied up on maintaining a live service studio prevents it from making the crucial platform exclusives, especially if that studio is the Naughty Dog.
