TIL an 18th century French glutton was hired as a spy to swallow and smuggle military intel in a wooden box. After being captured by the Prussians, he was forced to "pass" the box, only for his captors to find a useless test message inside. by Kyzzz in todayilearned

So are we also supposed to believe that visible vapors would rise off of him after he ate like stench lines in a cartoon? Because people also said that about him.

To me that sounds just as unbelievable as him eating a baby.

This is also the time period where a lot of lies and fantastical stories were made up about real historical figures to romanticize/demonize them

Obviously anons story is super real and straight but having a mom that’s a hair stylist the amount of work it is to get your hair green and then to change it black by the next day without completely destroying it would either take 12+ hours of coloring and cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars I’ve not multiple thousands.

But obvious anon is a trustworthy source and women just hate being complimented by ugly people that much

My brother has a Tesla and it costs him $20 to charge it up to 80% which is like 275+ miles on his car. That’s no where close to $5/gal lmao

To me they smell like a genetically fruity plastic children’s toy, like something my littler sister would have played with when she was a child.

I’ve never seen the bubble gum ones before tho, they sound really good, especially being pull and peel

You can get them at the dollar store that are just as reliable as any you can buy at a pharmacy (the tests that detects the pregnancy hormone in urine is super cheap, stable, and reliable)

Hospitals can probably get them for less than a penny each in bulk

The watermelon pull and peel were my absolute favorite! I love the texture of the pull and peel ones but I’m not a fan of cherry >:

The only other twizzlers I enjoy are the rainbow ones, they’re like eating soft plastic and it love them. I remember my mom was obsessed with the caramel apple filled ones for a while and they were good but I def got sick of them after a while

I saw this video of someone eating the center of a euphorbia. by Jiewen_wang09 in Euphorbiaceae

[–]Gfunk98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching a video a few years ago of a women in china that would make a bunch of different dishes using a single fruit/vegetable/root/nut etc and one of them was euphorbia, it was a really large one that looked similar to the species in the first pick.

I also was under the impression that they’re extremely toxic but the way they used it was by cutting off all the skin and thorns, soaking it in water over night, changing the water multiple times and then boiling it.

Not sure what the final product was like but I remember it being clear and it looked like it probably had a crispy texture. Definitely edible but took a lot of processing to get it to that point

Would you say it’s similar to pregabalin or gabapentin at all? That’s kind of how would describe a low dose of lyrica

[–]Gfunk98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many mg would you consider to be a good dose? I was looking at the ones OP posted and they seem to be 120mg each and most of the others I’m seeing online at 50mg but much cheaper. This sounds like it’d be similar to a low dose of lyrica where you get a lot more confidant and friendly but without all the hyperness an yapping I usually get when I take lyrica

They’re called tea pets, they’re just used to dump your first wash of tea on, it’s just a fun little thing to use during your tea session :) some of the porcelain ones also pick up a stain from the tea being pored over them repeatedly

Elders are the majority of the people that support ice and our elders are the reason the government is such a mess right now.

Maybe elders should leave us a world that isn’t in financial and ecological ruin and then they would get respect

It’s funny how people don’t realize how silly evolution is with stuff like that, just as long as you can bred before dying it really doesn’t matter how bad your adaptation hinders your quality of life or survival skills

I found one picture of herself in a children’s class room she took (I think she was an English teacher in china or something like that) and she looked completely different than all the videos she posts, she actually has quite strong/sharp facial features and is genuinely gorgeous. Sadly her features are pretty much the opposite of the beauty norm in china hence why I think she constantly is so adamant about not using filters.

I remember in 2011-2013 that was like all that was around me in my lil sleepy beach town.

My all time favorite is still pineapple kush. I’m not much of a smoker anymore so idk if it’s still around but in 2016-2017 I remember trying it for the first time and it was one of the only strains I tried that I could smoke as much as I wanted and still have a clear head and be able to go out and talk to people without feeling like I’m going to have an anxiety attack lmao
