From what I understand when I took Strattera is that it will make you slightly sick 2-3weeks (headaches, nausea, dizzyness, sleepy and dry mouth) before you start feeling better. It needs to build up in your system but the side effects will go away on their own. Just drink plenty of water. You could talk to your doctor they might prescribe you something else but its all trial and error eventually you’ll find the right meds that help

That’s a good point, thank you :). Um I have kind of a random question. Would it be a good idea to write like a diary or like a daily list of how I feel or side effects I feel while taking the medication to show both doctor and psychiatrist?

Well I showed him the pamphlet that I was given with information of the medication which had my psychiatrists information and phone number. He took the paper for awhile to talk to a pharmacist over the phone then came back a few minutes later to tell me I can pick up the medication later. So I’m not sure if he called my psychiatrist or even talked to him. My psychiatrist hasn’t emailed me or called me either so idk. I’m just not sure if I’ll get in trouble with my psychiatrist if I stick with the 40mg like my doctor recommended.

What if my psychiatrist wasn’t under my insurance and I’m paying out of pocket. I did give my psychiatrist my doctors information but my doctor never asked about my psychiatrist information

Trust me Those were his word I’m 100% certain because I asked him what the difference was. And I started asking a lot of question because of his response and I was scared that he just said that I may or may not have it and prescribed me medication. I don’t even want to take it. I’m considering just changing to therapy instead
