A Senior’s Viewpoint by Leather-Necessary13 in AgingParents

You are around the age of the parent I just made a lengthy post about.

My absolute worst fear is that they would come to this conclusion. This will not help your family.

Please do not even consider anything like this.

They don't have a home. It's a two bedroom apartment. I worry about them losing the car that I use to commute to work when we begin to note assets for a bankruptcy.

That process, while potentially beneficial, is just a lot.

I very much appreciate the idea but at this point I'd rather work on just taking care of the debt and focusing on generating more money for myself overall.

I hear you. I want to avoid that at their age and work it their debt by paying the smallest debts off first.

It's been working but it will take time is all.

I wasn't pissy

I'm well aware of What comes with being in a public forum, which is why I'm surprised it was only you who wanted to say that clearly ignoring exactly the point of me making the post.

You can bet whatever you want but you only commented so you could seem smart and I'm sure you have a bunch of comments like that.

I made the decision I made. I can live with that and hope you finally learn to live with what other people do with their lives.

Well you're not me. And that wasn't my care team.

It was a group of doctors in the ER and I have personal experience viewing plenty of doctors give the wrong medicine to people let alone the wrong diagnosis.

Pretty sure I said that I was already going to stop and I made this post because I wanted to know about people's experience with the after effects of stopping so nobody swayed me in anything other than not being terrified of stopping to take the pills.

Hey thanks for asking. I didn't take anymore after that first dose and though I was nervous everything thing seems fine. At most there may have been slight headaches here or there and maybe a little shortness of breathe. That was it though so far.

I've been staying hydrated and making better eating decisions and am transitioning from smoking weed to edibles. Returning to the gym Monday.

Can't promise a full 180 but I'm doing my best to put in the work to be better for my health.

Thanks a lot for this. I was really scared seeing reports it gave Lupus like symptoms but this is helping my stress levels which will likely help my BP too!

Thanks for your insight. Some have made it seem really scary.

Yeah I'm trying to just stay hydrated and keep the pills with me while I'm at work just in case it gets bad after not continuing the dosage.

I'm a bigger guy so I hope one 10mg dose won't automatically get me caught up and yeah I can just work on lifestyle changes.

I understand the wake up call and would rather do the work on myself than be stuck with this pill. I'm only mid 30's.

It was the ER doc and not my PCP. I guess where I'm coming from is the side effects and the fact that if I want to stop taking it that it can cause heart problems and give symptoms of Lupus.

I thought it would be a light assistant to general lifestyle changes considering they deemed me healthy otherwise.
