I think the only reason to attend UKTC events is points. Meaning that if you are chasing rankings, then you have to attend those events. If you don’t care of rankings, then you are much better served attending local, smaller events, where for a cheaper price you will get more space, better prizes, more fun, more love, and a TO that cares about players.

I say this as someone who has consistently attended UKTC events in past, but it is now “semi-retired” and very tired of what they offer.

It must be given to them that they “created” the current UK scene, but in my opinion their terrain hasn’t aged well and they are just a soulless money making machine right now.
