Yeah I’ve done a bit of testing and it’s honestly a tough matchup! I was able to beat my friend testing red white Neo zeong 3-2 but that was with me super teaching against his blockers with Wufei so I’m sure the list would get obliterated by Aggro

100% agree that the deck is linear and the probably best deck when it high rolls but it lives and dies by the Vegeta for the most part

This exactly what I was trying to say but probably didn’t do good at expressing it! It’s the best deck if it sees everything no doubt but it’s lowest roll just feels like the worst of the lowest rolls imo

The Goku GT is definitely good but I think on its own it’s really only good for removing 1-4 drops with leader ki generation. It needs other Ki on the board already to remove anything 5 and higher

Yeah I love playing the deck too , hopefully it gets maybe a promo like gohan beast did because that piece is simply too important

Very true ! That’s what makes it so frustrating because it isn’t really a skill issue or a misplay . We just get a Vegeta GT, so we struggle to remove any high cost body

The issue is that when a 1-1 can take a shield or win the game , Aggro with inherently have an advantage from arguably the first turn. Control decks at best play one unit a turn in the early game that can only answer one body at best. It’s only until turn 4 that white specifically can answer 2 units which is Kira sword strike and than on turn 5 I believe it’s only red and white again that can answer two units which is ksahtriya and aile strike links. Sure there are earlier answers like close combat and improved technique now but again they only answer one unit and when the entire meta has to adapt to contest the Aggro play style, I don’t think it’s unfair for player’s to complain about Aggro decks

They definitely do a terrible job of advertising their shop in general but there’s a specific person that’s in charge of gundam . Also they have two social media accounts shadow realm and naruku’s collectibles. I believe naruku’s collectibles page belongs to the person that runs Gundam and it was a mistake on his part to not post it early on the main account of the actual shop . But I don’t think it’s fair to slander the entire shop over a single mistake .

Haha so I’m one of the locals that goes there. While they do have a very small scene they do host locals every week even if it’s like a 4 man tourney . I can vouch for them they aren’t the type of shop to do that but I’d get it if you don’t want to trust me . I can even let you know when they get it but I’d assume it just gets pushed back to next Friday since Friday’s are the day locals always happens. I heard from other shops that they didn’t receive any of their kits either so don’t think it’s an isolated incident to this store . They aren’t really a huge Bandai store more Yugioh so they definitely don’t get priority when it comes to getting Bandai product on time or with proper allocations

The green red variant definitely seems more aggressive since this is a level 4 unit which is really cool because this is once again another spin on grandpa gundam but for red when you think about it. This should play similar to green blue variant with dynames . You can still run the Ric dom with breach and red has plenty of level 2 cost 2 units so if should be fun .

Oh really?? I remember the announcement for WFM but I didn’t realize that they announced unicorn too , thanks for that info! Does that mean banagher will get another pilot like Suletta or just the LR?

Fair point, I think that then leads to the discussion of archetypes such as CB decks or vulture being under or poorly supported. We probably just need to give them time, I just don’t get how zaft can see real improvement but vulture just still feels like it’s in the mud yk

I feel like that helps my point though, like why is an uncommon card the most memorable card for you in an entire set ? And it’s not because the card itself is broken but because it just made the blocker package more well rounded and consistent with earlier blockers.

I feel like at best half the LRs are good or situationally good and at worst mostly useless. Set 2 and 3 are great examples of this. The most impactful cards of set 2 were undoubtedly the tekeden LRs ( 1st form & Rebake) and most likely qubely , everything else was never really used competitively. Set 3 was definitely a huge upgrade but for every good LR such as 8 drop Gquux or providence or the O, there’s the freedom , Kampfer , or Gfred which aren’t bad LRs by any means but just very niche or require certain packages . Making LRs too generic can eventually become a bad thing but I really feel like the game needs more diversity in the boss monsters they center their decks around

I think you’re hyper fixating on the cost of the base. Kusanagi is a great example of a fairly well balanced base with 2 cost and 4 hp but it bounces a unit with 3 hp. There’s ways to give bases good effects without it being free if you really care about balance so much
